Got out on a light 12km run with Duke tonight.

There’s something about running at night under the moonlight and all the colourful city lights. It’s the best way for me to let loose from the busy day and sort through my thoughts. One of the ways I try to stay on top of my mental health 🧠❤️

03/11/2021

Staying hydrated is so so so important for both your mental health & physical training. makes it incredibly easy to stay on top of your hydration game and they have my back from starting line to finish line 🏁 💧

In one 2018 study of over 3,000 adults, those who drank more water had a lower risk of anxiety and depression than those who drank less water. (Healthline.com)

A statistic that may come as a surprise to some, or to others not a surprise at all. As someone who is 24 years old I can say from my own experiences that this stage of life was difficult. From 15-24 years of age we are constantly under pressure to make something out of ourselves. To secure a degree, a career, and to find that special someone. For me, I have none of the above however I feel that throughout all of society’s pressure I have finally found my purpose and that is to help others find theirs.

That all being said, let’s recognize the pressures we put on ourselves and others especially within that 15-24 year old category. Life does not need to be “figured out” or “planned”. It’s meant to be enjoyed, so take that time today to enjoy the life we are so lucky to have ❤️

Please consider donating to the Canadian Mental Health Associstion today, it will make a massive difference bit.ly/3es73PR

Pretending these stairs is the stretch of road between Revelstoke & Banff 😅 it’s going to be a lot of elevation gain in the month of June!

03/05/2021

Did you know Duke is going to be running across Canada too?! Well...about 10-15km a day for him but that’s pretty awesome. Best part is he doesn’t even know he’s doing it 😂🥰

This guy is the true reason why I am where I am today with running. If I didn’t get duke when I was 18 years old I likely would never have gotten into the hiking and running scene. Thanks for being my co-pilot whenever I need ya pal!

1 like = 1 belly rub for Duke ❤️
