The Government of Alberta is planning to increase the land transfer registration fee this spring.
On February 29, 2024, the Government of Alberta announced that the new update will come into effect spring of 2024. This update will continue to affect everyone purchasing property in Alberta.
The new Land Title Registration Levy will be set at $5.00 per $5000 of value for property transfers and mortgage registrations.
Don’t worry! Even with the increase in price, Alberta is still one of the most affordable provinces to purchase land!
