Last month, our World of Hearing Toronto clinic celebrated their 1 year anniversary! Last month, Connect Hearing Audiologist Christiane Basilio spent the week working with Hear the World Foundation in Guatemala. Here’s what she had to say about her experience:

“I am immensely proud to be a part of an organization dedicated to supporting projects worldwide that empower children with hearing loss to thrive according to their age. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to contribute to one of Hear the World's projects in Guatemala, where I assisted the team in implementing best practices for hearing aid verification. During the initial two days, they dedicated time to familiarize themselves with the equipment and engage in practice sessions with one another. Subsequently, they transitioned to working with adult patients, with plans to extend their practice to children in the near future. This experience significantly enhanced their confidence in fitting hearing aids safely and effectively. Assisting a less developed country was immensely rewarding and I'm thankful for this opportunity. “
