Musicians band together for benefit concerts to save Ironwood Stage and Grill
Organizers of BANDing Together for the Ironwood say the venue is months away from closing its doors, so they have asked artists to donate their talents so that money raised can support the venue.

Dear Calgarians
In these very uncertain times, it may seem like the future is bleak for Calgary and for Alberta. But I want to assure you that there will be a light at the end of the tunnel for us. We are no strangers to adversity - from the 1980’s to 2008, then again in 2014. And now in 2020. Yet every time we have managed to pick ourselves up and rebuild.
Calgarians are builders; we build economies, we build relationships, and we build futures. Our city is a proudly diverse city, attracting talented and hardworking people from around the world – and it is through our diversity that we are adaptable, resilient, and unified.
Today as we face these new obstacles, we also have a great opportunity to add more to our identity, while improving on what we are already good at. This is our chance to evolve to the next stage – Calgary 2.0!
And so, I invite Calgarians to participate in Envisioning our future. Tell us your vision for Calgary and how you would like our city to grow. We want to hear what is important to all Calgarians; what we should focus on, and what we should focus less on.
