Why hello there August!

Summer is halfway over and we will be back to routines and dance classes very soon. We have been extremely lucky with beautiful sunny weather throughout the last month and are crossing our fingers it continues this month. 🤞☀️🩴

The first day of summer camp was so much fun! 🌞⛱️From scarf play to flower crafts in our Ballet Princess Tea Party camp and Hip Hop and Jazz class for our Dance Explores, everyone was grinning from ear to ear. 😁

We are heading back in the studio this week to begin our Summer Mini Session! 😁

For the month of July classes will run on Wednesday evenings at our Willow Ridge location. Maybe your child is looking to enter the studio for the first time, try out a new style or continue developing their skills from the past year. A short commitment allows for the children to try out the programs before committing to a full season in the fall.

Do you have a little one who loves to move and groove? Join Miss. Sadie in the park this summer for our second annual Dance in the Park class! 🌳🌻☀️⁠

Join us in the park this summer and make some unforgettable memories with your child. Children and their adults will jump and groove with us in this 50 minute Summer pop up program. If you are marching with mom or flying like a butterfly with grandma, these young dancers will be inspired to dance all summer long. ⁠

Each class will consist of, 40 minutes of instructional time and 10 minutes of interactive free play time that will include bubbles, chalk and an obstacle course. ⁠

Today is the day our spring Demonstration Days begin! Friends and families are invited into the studio for the last 15 minutes of class.
💃Dancers, make sure you attend the full class!

🩴 We kindly ask that families remove their outdoor shoes before entering the studio. Even though they may not be wet, gravel and dirt still gets dragged inside. So please step out of your shoes before entering our dance space.

We are two weeks away until the first official day of summer, are you excited?☀️🩴

Here at Devotion Danceworks we run 4 week mini sessions in July and August. These classes give children the opportunity to try a dance class for the first time or jump into a new style with a minimal commitment.

💰️Cost you ask? 30 minute class = $45.50/4 weeks, 45 minute class = $55.50/4 weeks.

These classes are a great opportunity to;
- Stay active all summer long.
- Expand gross motor skills through dance and movement activities.
- Increase flexibility and strength.
- Develop coordination and musicality.
- Build friendships with others in the community. 🤗

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY! 💃

Getting to dance is one of the best gifts in the world. When we come to the studio the energy that we get through dancing with all our students is something only a dance teacher understands.

How can you celebrate international dance day?
- Put on your dance attire and give your family a show
- Choose your favourite song and have a family dance party!
- Heading outside? Dance down the sidewalk, you know it will make someone smile. 😃
- Teach a friend, family member or teacher your favourite dance move.

The week has finally come! DEMONSTRATION DAYS! 🎉

Teachers and students are so excited to welcome families into the studio to observe the last class of our winter session. 📸
Your dancers have been working hard and preparing their dance skills throughout the winter session and are ready to showcase all their talent.

There is no limit to how many family members can join us in the studio however, we do as you to remove your footwear before entering the studios.

Let's celebrate the hard work of our dancers this session.
