Congratulations to this trio of Dinos for their selection to the 2025 Canada Games Beach Team. Kiara, Veronica and Sasha will compete in St. John’s, Newfoundland next summer at this marquee event that represents the highest level of competition in Canada. ⁣

Congratulations to Kennedy Minovitch who was selected for the 2024 Team Canada Women’s Canada Cup Red and White Program. In July, Kennedy will join 27 other athletes from across Canada where they will train and compete in the 2024 Canada Cup taking place in Calgary. ⁣

Congratulation to Dinos Coach, Shannon Rossall for being named Performance Coach of the year. Shannon led her 18U squad to a 2nd place provincial finish and a 4th place finish in Div 1 at the Volleyball Canada National Championship. Shannon’s dedication to her team and this program is unparalleled and we are grateful to have her in our Dinos community. ⁣

The Dino Women’s Volleyball Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexa Gray, Canadian Women’s National Volleyball Team athlete and Dinos Club Alumni, to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.⁣⁣⁣

Alexa brings tremendous professional and international experience, as well as a personal understanding of the athlete pathway in Canada. We’re excited to re-engage with Alexa and leverage her ideas and perspectives as we fuel the Dinos program⁣ for future growth. ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Alexa’s Volleyball Journey⁣⁣⁣:
Alexa started her volleyball when she was in 5th grade in search of a sport to keep her busy during the basketball off season. In 9th grade, she was asked to play with the Dinos Volleyball club. She was very excited about making this particular team since she had a cousin that had played Dinos who she really looked up to. She always dreamt of representing the club if given the opportunity and playing for Dinos is when her love of volleyball started. After high school she wanted to fully commit to playing volleyball at the college level and in grade 11, her Dinos team was asked to compete in a Norceca tournament in Guatemala. This event was pivotal, as she was identified by schools in the states and recruited by some of the most successful programs in volleyball. Alexa committed to BYU, and during her time competed in three NCAA tournaments. After college she continued to play professionally in South Korea, Italy, and is currently in Turkey playing her 8th season overseas. During her professional off season, she proudly represents Canada as a member of the Canadian National Women’s Volleyball Team who are currently working towards a birth at the 2024 Olympics.

We wanted to wish the the BEST of luck at their Paralympic qualifier in Dali, China next week. The winner of the tournament bags the final Paralympic berth to Paris, 2024.
Some of our senior .dinosvolleyball athletes have participated in their local training sessions run by coach Cass to help them prepare for the final tournament of the quad.

Hello 2024!

Fall programs finished today and we are so grateful for all the athletes who showed up every week to give it their all. Their progress was incredible and we want to wish them all the best heading into their club seasons. As for our little 10&Under Dinomites, we’ll see you in January!
