United Youth Outreach exists to reach every youth in Canada with the Gospel.
We received a grant through Canada Summer Jobs to hire 6 youth for 8 weeks. The Inside and United Office each received 3 youth. We are enjoying praying and learning together, taking care of the office work, and planning for evangelism training with a few youth groups with outreaches for the summer.ππ
βI want to do this again!β It became evident how eager and willing the students in the Grade 6 class were to share their faith as we prayed and trained for 5 weeks and then deployed 28 people for an outreach in May at the Canadian Tire in Airdrie. The Lord worked in the simple faith and obedience of these students and adult leaders as we engaged different people in the parking lot in Gospel conversations and prayer.π
Later that week, a few of us joined our Calgary Evangelism team by the Peace Bridge. The team set up a worship band to play over the area for about 6 hours. As we handed out water, snacks, gospels, and tracts, the Lord opened great opportunities for the dozen volunteers who came out to share Jesus. We had reports of several deep and long conversations about Jesus. One woman walked by the table with our hand-outs and began to weep. This opened an opportunity to share Jesus in a very deep and real way with her. There were clear seeds of truth sown, and the lady prayed with a team member. One of our students filled in at the table and began to connect with individuals and share Jesusβ love. This was a new step for this student.π
It is so amazing what God will do, when we come together, call on the Lord, and step out together in faith!
We partnered with several churches for a Praise and Connect Concert in Calgary on April 26. Ben preached and invited youth to receive Jesus into their lives. 3 students responded to the call. A second invitation was made to invite students to stand up as a witness for Jesus to their friends and to the world. About 95% of the students responded.πOur ministry team was busy praying with the students for some time as the Lord worked powerfully! π

United is excited to be working with our various teams and our summer employees as we prepare for evangelism training and gospel outreach this summer. We are so thankful for the incredible things we saw the Lord do as we shared the gospel with many through the spring.π
Stay in the Spirit. The enemy wants you to react in the flesh.
Do you know what the fruits of the spirit are? In Galatians 5:22-23 it says
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
Take notice of your behaviour today when things don't go your way, how are you reacting?
It's always better to respond with love, to be slow to speak and quick to listen. That's how we are called to live as followers of Jesus.
If Jesus loves them so will I.
Sometimes it's difficult to love people, especially when they hurt us.
But do you know that, that is when we are to love them even more?
It says in Matthew 22: 37-40
"You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.β This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: βLove your neighbour as yourself.β The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.β
Jesus always responds with love when we fall short learn to do the same for others. π
I gotta admit, sometimes my attitude sucks. And if you're honest, yours does too. Lol. But what does that stinky attitude say about your Lord?
We can keep using "Jesus turned over tables" or "im holy and hood," etc, as an excuse, or we can allow the Spirit to renew our thoughts and attitudes.
V. 22 says, "Throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception."
Enough with "that's just how I am" and taking pride in our hardened heart. You're walking in the flesh, not with Jesus, if your thoughts, attitude, and actions are dark and mean.
I pray this day that you put your sinful nature on the altar and "put on your new nature, created to be like God -- truly righteous and holy."
