Registration for our Kickstart Tournament has been EXTENDED until this Sunday, Sept 15!
If you missed the deadline, you can still register your team! We are specifically looking to add another 1-2 Over 30 teams (div 3/4 level) to the tournament, but we have space in Over 40 and our Open divisions as well.
Currently we have 37 teams registered (21 - Open; 3 - Over 30; 13 - Over 40)

🚨 DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2024 🚨

This weekend 9 CWSA teams will compete at the Alberta Soccer Senior Provincial Championships in Calgary and in Edmonton.
Premier, Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams will play locally in Calgary at the Calgary Soccer Centre. Meanwhile, our Tier 3 and Classics Major teams will travel to Edmonton for their competitions.
We'd like to offer congratulations on a great season & wish all of the players & coaches luck this weekend!

Alberta Major League Provincials were held two weeks ago in Edmonton. Calgary Blizzard narrowly lost to Northwest United in the final.

Get in some pre-season games before the indoor season officially kicks off. Our Kickstart pre-season tournament team registration is OPEN. Kickstart is a great way to test out new players and get used to playing indoors again.
This year we've extended the tournament to allow for more time between games. Teams will play 4 games over a week. Game days are:
- Oct 16 (wed)
- Oct 18 (fri)
- Oct 21 (mon)
- Oct 23 (wed)

BECOME A REFEREE!
- Adults of any age are welcome and encouraged to sign up to become new referees.
- Youth participants must be a minimum of 14 years old to take the entry level referee course.

The cost per student for the course will be determined by the Alberta Soccer Association.

The course is made up of a combination of online self-directed modules, an instructor-led in class session, an in person exam and an on-field practical session.

We are now accepting applications for the 2024 CWSA scholarship!

Three scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded to eligible CWSA players.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 PM MST on September 30, 2024.

The Calgary Women’s Soccer Association scholarship was created in 2010 to recognize the accomplishments of its female members. Three scholarships of $1,000 are awarded each year and the money is funded through the members of the Calgary Women’s Soccer Association.

No AMSL games tonight. Last weekend the south and the north divisions met with each team playing one game on Saturday and one game on Sunday.
Calgary Blizzard secured two wins, Calgary Callies came away with a tie and a loss, and Calgary Foothills lost both of their games.
After the weekend of games, Calgary Blizzard remain dominantly in 1st place in the south division, Calgary Foothills are in 2nd with 9 pts and Calgary Callies are in 3rd with 7 points.
The next AMSL match day will be on July 7
