Found out this morning that one of my long time customers has died after a short battle with colon cancer. He was a tenacious, passionate, hardworking and smart guy. It was always a treat to talk games, which he collected with investment in mind and always seemed to come out ahead! We talked business and family and finance often. I’ll miss his visits, his endless text messages checking in to see what was new at the shop, and most of all his friendship and camaraderie. Once again someone taken far too soon by cancer.

YYCFanFair is pleased to host professional artist Dario Carrasco Jr.

With a career spanning from the 90’s to now, Dario has worked on some fantastic books for companies like Marvel and Dark Horse. From Super Heroes to Sci Fi, you can find his work in legendary titles like Alpha Flight, Star Wars Tales of the Jedi, Captain America, What if?, and a number of great independent titles. Most recently you can find his art in the new Sci-Fi Horror book Hydra published by Zenoscope Entertainment.

Dario will be signing books, open to commissions and have prints available. He will also have books for sale to raise money for his charity CFAC (Comics for a Cause).

Get Ready to PARTY with Tiffany Helm at the YYC FanFair!

Tiffany’s role as Violet in Friday the 13th Part V is as memorable as her incredible dance scene is an iconic piece of 80’s pop culture cool!

From her feature debut in 1984’s “Hard to Hold'' to the recent acclaimed series “Under the banner of Heaven”, Tiffany has brought us many great guest appearances, supporting, and starring roles across the big and small screen. While her resume includes roles covering many different genres, it’s safe to say her horror and cult movie appearances hold a special place in her fans hearts! “Reform School Girls” (1986), Freddie’s Nightmares” (1989), “Red Letter Day” (2019), “In The Tall Grass” (2019) and “Come True” (2020) are just a few of the great projects she’s worked on. We’ve also heard through secret sources that Tiffany is currently working on the development of a horror feature script that will shoot in Utah at an undisclosed date.

Tiffany will be signing autographs and meeting fans all day at the YYC FanFair.

Summer is upon us!

We don’t get to enjoy it because of our inventory change over… but that doesn’t mean you can’t!

Time to play outside on one of the great handheld video game consoles from Nintendo or Sony. We’ve loaded the shelves with awesome games to keep you playing while you get some sun.

Head on down to the store any day 11am to 7pm to browse our great selection of these games and thousands more!

UPDATE:

We are currently migrating our entire inventory manually into the new system. The website will be up with the more popular systems this weekend, with the rest to follow over time as we continue the already more than month long process of transferring everything. A reminder points balances from the old system expire end of this month, so pop in and use em up! The free points program will continue with the same earn/redeem as before, with new points accumulating July 1st onward.

Our website continues to be deactivated as we manually migrate our inventory to the new system. We are working as fast as we can to get things back up and running. It’s been a lot of work, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

New stock is still added daily, so we recommend contacting the store directly or popping by to see what’s new!

We are open every day 11am to 7pm for your browsing needs!

This Sunday we will be set up at Red and white club comic and toy expo with our Free Play retro game table. We will also have prizes for the costume contest! Free admission passes are available in store.

We Are Making Changes!

Starting June 1st 2024, We will be changing over our Inventory Control and Point of Sale system. This will affect our web-hosting (With a temporary shut down of the web-store), and our Loyalty points program. Customer information and TRADE CREDIT will be transferred to the new program.

Our current Loyalty Points Program will expire on June 30th 2024. All existing points must be redeemed before this date or they will be lost. We will continue with a new points program under the new provider. It will function exactly the same as our current program, but old points will not transfer.

We will also be phasing out the Birthday Discount at the end of 2024. This discount will be replaced with a rotating annual sale.
