We would like to thank everyone for the messages about the 2024 show.
Firstly we would like to thank ALL of you for the past 9 years and the amazing memories we have all made together! They (and you) will never be forgotten! We have made some amazing friends through the show!

Sadly we have decided for many reasons that we will no longer be hosting a show, this doesnt take away from the memories and never will.

Charges laid in Deerfoot Trail collision

Police have charged a 29-year-old Red Deer man in relation to a fatal collision that occurred in the early morning hours today, Friday, Dec. 2, 2022.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. we responded to reports of a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred in the southbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail near 32 Avenue N.E.

Upon arrival, we located a severely damaged car and a 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck with significant front-end damage. Moments later, we discovered a lone occupant in the driver’s seat of the car, who was subsequently declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150 truck was located in the vehicle and determined to have sustained minor injuries.

Tyson Tyler GIROUX, 29, of Red Deer, was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with:

• One count of failure or refusal to comply with a demand after an accident resulting in death
• One count of impaired operation of a conveyance causing death
• One count of dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death

The victim has been identified, however, details pertaining to the victim’s identity and vehicle will not be released at this time as investigators are still working to complete next of kin notifications.

Anyone who may have information or dashcam footage related to this incident is asked to contact police at the non-emergency number at 403-266-1234. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through either of the following methods:

Our Traffic Section held a Checkstop on Saturday, Aug. 6.

Approximately 220 Mandatory Alcohol Screenings were conducted. Of those, two blew a fail, three blew a caution and two Graduated Drivers License holders were sanctioned for zero tolerance.
