Meet Claire! Claire started training with me early this year, following an individualized online program designed specifically for her goals. Her commitment to strength training has been nothing short of inspiring. Alongside her regular workouts, she set a big goal: to conquer 5 straight days of hiking on Europe’s iconic Tour de Mont Blanc. And she absolutely crushed it!
Claire tackled 82 km with 5,400 m of elevation gain, feeling strong and prepared every step of the way, allowing her to truly enjoy the experience. And this is what she has to say about her experience training with me:

Happy !

Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get moving.

Today at Run Club we got our bodies moving by crushing some hill repeats, while getting social!

It doesn’t matter if you are a β€œrunner” or not, let’s all get moving today from where ever you are!

And Run 1 mile for someone that inspires you!!!!! Who is with me!?

Today my run was for my step mom, Chris. Not only because it’s her birthday today, but because she inspires me to be strong and fearless. πŸ’•

Ten years ago today, on my 32nd birthday, I stepped into the ring with one of the greats, in the semi finals at the IFMA World Championships in Malaysia. Though I didn’t get the decision, I fought my way through one of the biggest female brackets and returned home with bronze medal and so many unforgettable experiences.

Fast forward to today, my 42nd birthday, and I’m celebrating with a marathon. This isn’t my first time running 42km, but it’s the first time I’m tackling a marathon purely for the joy of it, sans competition. I’m celebrating this incredible body of mine and all the extraordinary feats it has enabled me to accomplish.

Joining me on this journey are friends who share my passion for an active, healthy lifestyle. Together, we’re hitting the pavement to celebrate life, friendship, and the limitless potential of our bodies. Here’s to another year of pushing boundaries and embracing every moment. Janice MacAulay

Are you struggling with your motivation?

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

It’s hard to feel inspired to pick up those weights if you’ve been hibernating all winter, or when you’re feeling stressed with work, family, commitments etc.

So, my advice is to commit to 15min. Start a timer and start your workout. If at 15min you still aren’t β€œfeeling it” stop. You can try again tomorrow...

Most times, giving yourself permission to not always HAVE IT IN YOU can take some of your stress away, and actually make it EASIER for you to commit to your workouts. You may find that at that 15min mark, your mind set has shifted and you can happily finish your workout. If not, and you pack it up for the day, BUT remember you still got in 15min of exercise. So that’s still a WIN because it’s more than you originally wanted (it’s the small wins that lead to HUGE success!)

Happy Muay Thai Day!

Today is one of two days each year that Muay Thai is celebrated nationally in Thailand. πŸ‡ΉπŸ‡­

Today is celebrated in honor of King Sanphet VIII (The Tiger King). Who was a Muay Thai practitioner himself and promoted Muay Thai as a sport to keep his soldiers fit, which grew into a national pastime.

Today we celebrate the sport’s historical ties to royalty, by paying homage to the late Tiger King with festivals full of Wai Kru demonstrations.
