With a mixture of emotions, we write this message to you today. As many of you already know, after 24 wonderful years of serving the Calgary community, we have closed the doors of Jonas' Hungarian Restaurant. We wanted to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has been a part of our journey.

Your unwavering support, kind words, and shared moments have enriched our lives beyond measure. We have had the privilege of witnessing celebrations, milestones, and even quiet, intimate gatherings. It is these memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. You have become more than just customers to us; you have become an extended family.

From the very beginning, our mission was to bring a taste of Hungary to Calgary and to create an experience that transported you to the vibrant streets of Budapest. We poured our hearts and souls into every dish we served, every recipe we meticulously crafted, and every detail we considered. Our hope was always to provide you with an authentic culinary journey, accompanied by warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. We hope that, in some small way, we were able to achieve this and create cherished memories for you.

However, as with any journey, there comes a time for a new chapter to unfold. Circumstances change, priorities shift, and the inevitable winds of time blow us in different directions. It is in this spirit that we have made the difficult decision to close Jonas' Restaurant. While we may be closing our physical doors, the memories, friendships, and connections we have made will remain etched in our hearts forever.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being a part of our Jonas' family. It has been an honor to serve you, and we will forever cherish the times we've spent together.

Attention foodies and Hungarian cuisine enthusiasts! We are pleased to announce that our family restaurant is reopening for a limited time only for takeout orders! We know that many of you missed out on the chance to savor our delicious dishes recently, but now is your chance to indulge in our authentic flavors from the comfort of your own home. Our updated menu features traditional favourites such as cabbage rolls, paprikash, and wiener schnitzel, all made with love and ready starting May 2, 2023. We have made the decision to participate in the Restrictions Exemption Program in order to be able to continue serving our valued guests.
This has been a trying time for all of us and we look forward to be able to serve Calgary without rules or restrictions.
