Welcome back High School students!
We are thrilled to have you back on campus as we begin the 2024-2025 school year. Middle School and Elementary students ... see you next week!
In March, our students, families, and staff wrote prayers and Scripture verses on hundreds of Prayer Cards. These Prayer Cards are now permanently embedded in the foundation of the new building. Anyone who walks into the new building will literally be supported by the prayers of our entire faith community! As we watch this building take shape, we are reminded to continue in a posture of prayer.
Check out the latest aerial video of the new building progress here:

Let the summer work begin!
With all classes now finished, our facilities team and summer staff will be making lots of changes and updates around the school to get ready for the big transition!
Please pray for God's protection over each of them and the construction crew as they continue work on the new building.
Our school became a sea of color as teams competed in various events run by our Grade 6 students for Elementary Sports Day.
Not only is this a super fun day, but it also gives lots of hands-on opportunities for students to practice leadership, encouragement, and cooperative team skills. They were definitely exhausted by the end of the day, but also beaming with accomplishment.
They did it! The final day of secondary classes, and now, on to final exams.
๐
Of the 50 graduating campus students this year, 23 of them received a Top Scholar Award for their high academic standing. These students each achieved a minimum average grade of 85% this year, with no course mark lower than 75% - an impressive feat!
Thank you Watoto Canada for coming to our school to share your amazing talent, stories of hope, and spirit of joy. We are grateful for the work that Watoto is doing in Uganda and South Sudan to bring hope and healing to vulnerable women.
โช
Our students and staff were dancing in the crowd, and several of them even got on stage to learn some new moves. What a fun morning together with students, staff, and some parents too!
HipโHipโHooray, it's Kindergarten graduation day!
It's a Pizza Party lunch for these students today, as a reward from Mrs. Clark for being the Best Class Library Citizens ๐
Their class modeled respectful behavior during library time this year โ not just towards the books and space, but also towards each other. Way to go 4C!
The look of pride and joy on these elementary teachers faces while they handed out Character Awards to their students was priceless.
Over the past 10 months our incredible teachers have done so much more than instruct your students ... they have prayed for them, listened to their worries, cheered them on, and discipled their hearts. They will be sad to say goodbye to your students next week, but look forward to coming alongside a whole new class in the Fall!
Back for another year!! It's Sports Day on June 13 for Grades 1 - 6 students. A super fun day outside full of team spirit and friendly competition.
Parents โ keep an eye on your emails for more info coming from Mrs. Hatch, including team groups and colors! Be praying for good weather so that the day can be enjoyed to the max.
Grade 6 Campout 2024
Canoeing, archery, climbing, horseback riding, team building, campfire songs, games, and a whole lots of memories made. When we asked kids what was the best part about this campout, most of them said just getting to spend time together outside of school.
Thank you to our amazing Grade 6 teachers, all the parent chaperones who helped make this trip a success, and InterVarsity Pioneer Camp Alberta for hosting our group!
Parents of students in Grades 1โ4 ... tomorrow is Character Awards!
An opportunity for us to join together to celebrate personal academic excellence and Christ-like character in each student.
Another last for our graduating campus students โ their last chapel day. Many of them have been attending weekly chapels here for as long as they can remember. They sure will be missed!
Happy graduation day to all of our campus Grade 12 students!
โช
Praying for a day full of memories, celebration, and blessing as you prepare to leave BCS for your next adventure.
The final secondary chapel of the school year went out with a bang ... and lots of kilts!
Check your email for more information about Transportation Grant Cheques and when/where you can pick them up.
๐
Would you consider donating your grant cheque? If every family were to donate their Transportation Grant back to BCS, we can raise nearly $400,000. As a BCS community, we have raised $2.6 Million of our $3 Million fundraising goal for our new building. Now we have an incredible opportunity to raise the remaining $400,000 and drive our Next Chapter campaign across the finish line!
๐
Your donation will help build a legacy of faith and educational excellence for your family and generations of future leaders!

Mrs. Sarro's Grade 3 class chose "Twins" as their class theme ... and did a really impressive job!

There are hundreds of things she could have used her prize money for, but she has decided to donate it all to our campus building project. We are amazed by the generosity of our school family โ thanks Sadie!
Throwback to the Sr. Kindergarten graduation of 2012. This Friday, they will graduate from Grade 12 at BCS! It's true what they say โ the days are long, but the years are so very short.

The final Food Friday of the school year is TOMORROW! Help support the Secondary Spiritual Formation Trips by sending your kids to school with some $$.
The heart behind our Spiritual Formation Trips is to provide various opportunities for High School students to grow in their journeys with Jesus by stepping away from โnormal life.โ These trips take place locally, across Canada, and around the globe. By participating in these experiences, students have the opportunity to grow in vulnerability with God and their peers in different and meaningful ways.
With the opening of our new building, 133 additional families will be joining our campus school this September. We are grateful to God for this incredible growth!
