The talent in Moab
These are the vessels that take humans to places seen by few. We call this Enduro4WD. We are not the vehicle, the vehicle is merely the window to new experiences accompanied by friends, food, culture and landscapes.
The vehicles have been upgraded over time allowing the driver to learn how each change improves the driving experience. Keeping the gear simple and the weight as low as possible with minimal equipment above the roof line. Driver skill increasing with the difficulty of the trail changing along with the vistas
We have serviced, repaired and upgraded these vehicles over the years and tested time and time again driving thousands of kilometres to and from these locations.

Part 2
5000 miles from Kirkland Washington. A significant starting point for driver Nathan Hayashi with his family roots reaching the shores of Washington in the late 1800’s as pioneers of small town of Thomas (Auburn) WA.
Three days in Seattle to gather footage and footing, meeting various competitors and organizers. A trip through memory lane with discussion of the first Alcan Rally in the 1980’s while meeting Bill Banger and Bill Brooks. Legends of Pro Rally and more notably the Cannonball Run misfits.
Miles after miles of transit between TSD rally’s, hotels, restaurants and epic scenery. The days blur as the scenery whips past from Washington, British Columbia to the frozen hills of the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and the towering peaks in Alaska. Sheets of ice glaze the roads with the reflection of the tress almost as though zambonies polished the ice instead of snow plows.
Ice racing on a bed of frozen ice hovering over the depths of the Great Slave Lake. Racing for the fastest time with large rooster tails following Gunsai style drifts. Slow in, set the line, power out. Decent finishing from Team Porsche Centre Calgary against top competitors striving to maintain position.
Lenses of the Alpha’s, FX3’s, GH5’s, GRiii’s staring endlessly at the snow packed trees, grazing bison, sunrises, sunsets, ghostly northern lights, endless smiles, and of course motorcars. Mitchell capturing the moments that will burn our memories with colours and stills until thieving dementia seals our fate.
An experience to remember for a lifetime with memories and bonds forged from the icy cold landscapes from the driver’s and navigator’s seat sharing endless stories, laughs, sunflower seeds and scenery.
Until the next great rally, we are thankful.

A dream… Part 1
The Alcan 5000 Winter 2024. Thankful.
Miles from Porsche Centre Calgary made this dream a reality with sponsors Mark’s and Touchette Motorsports. The goal of completing the rally with sportsmanship and gathering documentary footage for Drivetime Studios. Alcan’s 40th anniversary relentlessly continuing the founding vision of Jerry Hines.
Three generations of Porsche Cayenne were chosen to signify the 20 years of Porsche’s success with the Cayenne platform. Porsche Centre Calgary ensured all the vehicles were in good health for the blistering cold. Mark’s outfitted our team with warm base layers, socks, shirts, and Helly Hansen jackets. Touchette Motorsports provided the apex of winter traction, the Michelin X-ice tire.
40 competitor vehicles make the drive from as far as New York to the starting line for this TSD (Time, Speed, Distance) rally. A completion of mathematics, navigation and driving. Car #9, #12, #13, #14 made Team Porsche Centre Calgary a unified group of misfits. Misfits in the sense of various backgrounds of non-conformity and creativity.
Car 11, Porsche 911 Dakar, driver Jeff Lebesch (Colorado USA) and navigator Ryan Trail (Oregon USA). Car 12, Gen 1 Porsche Cayenne) driver Miles McEwing (Alberta CAN) and navigator Tracey Martin (Alberta CAN). Car 13, Gen 2 Porsche Cayenne, driver David Green (California USA) and navigator Tom Pastore (California USA). Car 14, Gen 3 Porsche Cayenne) driver Nathan Hayashi (Alberta CAN) and navigator Mitchell Leong (Alberta CAN).
