🌡 Calgary's record-breaking heat wave is hitting the city's most vulnerable especially hard! Consider Diane and Lacy. They were pushing, pulling, and carrying everything they owned in the mid-day sun when our Rescue Van encountered them downtown. Exersion like that in these temperatures is quite simply... dangerous. They were so grateful to get out of the sun for a bit and enjoy some cold water. The effects of 9 days of 30+ temperatures melted away as the Rescue Van helped them find somewhere sheltered from the intense sun.

Unfortunately, Diane and Lacy will be dealing with the heat again tomorrow. We need you to help make sure the Rescue Van program continues to meet the needs of our most vulnerable neighbours. Please, donate today. 🌡 The heat is relentless, but together we can get through this!

Did you know Hope Mission Calgary's focus shifts to summer camp when the school year ends? Camp Hope is already in it's third week of program so far this year, and lives are being impacted! Fun, relationships, lots of outdoor activities, and of course... great food!

An amazing blessing from the DVBS at Mountain View Lutheran Church! Gotta love this kind of caring… kids reaching out to care for kids they will never even meet… partners in ministry!

As a kid, if there is anything better than a week of summer camp, I don't know what it is! Camp Hope is creating memories for kids this summer!

YOU CAN HELP make sure those memories happen for kids and youth. Kids like Jason, who came home with 🎶NEW SONGS🎶 and 🌳🦌🌲STORIES🏕⚽🍔 to share with his mom!

Just $27 provides a meal for 10 campers! If you are able, $300 provides a full week of camp for a youth or kid that wouldn't otherwise have the experience!

Calgary... we need your help!!!

Environment Canada announced a heat wave for Calgary this week. That means our 🚑RESCUE VAN🚑 is out helping keep the Calgary's most vulnerable safe from all the heat related issues that hit. We need your help, though! Bottled water can be dropped off at our Calgary HUB (4869 Hubalta Road SE), or donations can be made at www.hopemission.com/donate (link in bio).

Just $2.70 provides a meal, and just $4.49 provides 24 bottles of water!

We have been blessed with the opportunity to come alongside the families affected on Sunday night by the McKenzie Towne fire. Working with the McKenzie Towne Council, we are able to help provide hope to many who have lost much in this tragic event. Thank you Calgary for helping us help our communities. It is very humbling to be part of something like this.

🤝🏼Partnerships are such a blessing! Amazing things happen when we pour ourselves into others. We are sad that the school year is wrapping up and afterschool programs go offline for the summer, but when appreciation like this is shared... WE ARE ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FALL!!! ❤❤❤

The No Child Hungry Walk was an amazing day! Calgary raised $14,480 by the end of the day, and the website is still open until June 29th! With a target of $15,000, you can still help us surpass that! The kids are the winners!

Cindy: "And so at this No Child Hungry walk, like the no child that we want, we loaded him up with a bunch of food and now he is back in school. We've been able to give them food hampers and extra snacks when he comes to our program. He is back in high school now and working part-time, but he's figured out a way to make it work."
