You will learn the basic samba step along with many other vibrant and sensual movements of Brazilian Samba No Pé in a fun and supportive environment. We will focus on developing your Samba technique and body movement while working on enhancing your speed; each class will include learning short combinations.

ℹ️This class is a chance to challenge yourself with passista-style samba technique, speed, and ATTITUDE. We keep things focused on the samba no pé with skills + resistência. Each week we will introduce different samba drills, then we put those skills into action, dancing the moves in a choreography to reinforce what we’ve learned. All these elements combined will develop your speed, technique, resistência, and STYLE.

Feeling honoured for the opportunity to take part in the incredible Theatrical Production UNGANISHA which brings awareness, educates, and celebrates Black History Month. I was deeply proud to showcase a bit of my own Afro-Brazilian background, through Samba Dancing. Thank you/Obrigada to Wunmi Idowu the Director and Founder of Woezo Africa and Producer of Unganisha and Global News for having us.🥰😍❤️

To celebrate will be screening their 2019 : Explore. Connect. Dance. Production. The virtual performance explores the Western colonial expansion of the African Diaspora and its influence on modern Samba, Tap, Salsa, Capoeira, Jazz, Hip Hop, Step, Afro Cuban, and Afro Caribbean dance styles. Tickets are limited, so be sure to buy tickets in their instagram bio!🎟

On set with to share a little bit about my Brazilian background and dance company Samba Calgary, tasty traditional Brazilian cuisine, culture, and the biggest Carnaval in the world.
