With the nicer weather, renovation, concrete, and driveway paving frauds are on the rise.

Fraudsters attend addresses unsolicited and use high-pressure tactics to convince victims that work is needed. Sometimes they start work without your consent and then say you owe them for the work that was done. They will require down payments and ask them to be in cash rather than using a proper invoice and a bank transfer. The costs start to rise once the work is started and the work is either not completed or completed substandard.

Be aware of the unsolicited offers to complete work in your driveway, home, or backyard:

✔️Check the company online and ask for references or work done at other places you can check out (don’t rely on a picture on social media)

✔️Obtain a second opinion

✔️Do not pay in cash and ask for banking information and a proper invoice

✔️Request a details plan of the work that is required and proper invoice and estimates

✔️Do not let them start work before signing a document

✔️Review the documents they provide you and compare the costs

Gearing up to start a second floor renovation with a repeat client. Highlighting this bathroom as it was a specific ask - with a household of 3 daughters, this dad wanted a masculine moody bathroom as we remodel the second floor.

Our clients vision was to incorporate reclaimed stone from her grandmother’s farmhouse with new natural stone. ✅

Our commercial client was looking to update the reception area to a more airy, welcoming and modern space. The wish list included making the space ‘feel bigger’ while making the footprint smaller with the addition of a powder room.

We just wrapped up a final meeting last night on a major main floor renovation. Removed walls, added beams, raised sunken floors - after living in a home, raising a family, these changes can be emotional.

Over 20 years ago, this client and her husband laid new hardwood floors themselves. During our renovation, we had to tear it up to raise the floor and remove a wall. Little did she know, we salvaged a part of the floor and created this piece for her.

A new space to call her own with warm memories.

We will show the before and afters - but this piece is one of our favourite projects yet.

We love how patterned floors and wallpaper bring small spaces to life!
