What a year! It’s been a difficult one for many! Hoping those get the opportunity to get back up again and are able to come back stronger! Weekend Work 🙌🏽
I forgot to take before pictures, but the gutted wall on the right appeared to have what I thought to be the beginning of a Mucor type mold that’s often caused by condensation and found near HVAC systems. In this case, it was visible around the electrical outlet. The outlet was wrapped properly with vapour barrier, however, it was not pulled out and tuck taped like it should have been when it was previously insulated.
The homeowner did the honours of tear out and this is what I completed yesterday. Out with the Pink and in with the Rockwool that is, as we know:
✅ Moisture Resistant,
✅ Rot & Mold Resistant,
✅ Fire Resistant,
✅ Sound Absorbent, &
✅ Not Enjoyed by Vermin
I filled in gaps with Sheetrock 25 & 45 last night so that I’d be ready for first coat today!

I have to give credit to the skilled homeowner for taking on the framing, electrical, minor plumbing, resilient channel and ceiling board install 🔧 He also did the honours of placing the Rockwool in the ceilings and walls; bless this man’s heart 💓 The old railing was painted to match trim so we figured a new stained railing would stand out with the Cloud White Walls, which makes the space appear to look more open and generous in size 🙆🏻‍♀️ The bathroom layout is both classy and practical! Stay tuned for completion photos 📸
