Just Launch It Renovations

Just Launch It Renovations was called to fix a surrounding wall that was damaged due to a leaking sky light in Cambridge, Ontario.

Once the new sky light was installed (by another company), we got to work!

We started off by re-insulating the existing wall cavities with fibreglass insulation and then added new vapour barrier. Vapour barrier is used to keep heat in, and cold out!

Next we installed new 1/2 inch drywall and some outside corner beads. Once the drywall was up, we paper taped and applied 3 coats of compound.

The walls were then sanded to a primer ready finish, which allowed our clients to start the painting process, and get their kitchen back up and running!

Big or small, we do them all!!

A new home in Cambridge needed repair when it was discovered that the original drywall crew had screwed the drywall of the ceiling into a plumbing trap. Over time the screw rusted which lead to a leak.

Our clients hired a plumber, who was able to fix the trap, but then called us to fix the ceiling.

Just Launch It Renovations installed new 1/2 inch drywall and sanded it to a primer ready finish!

PART 2:
After we finished our clients upstairs bathroom renovation, we headed to the main floor where we assisted with the beginning phase of their main floor transformation.

We took down a partitian wall, a 23 foot load bearing wall and the entire main floor stucco ceiling.

Once we had a clean slate, we installed a 2 ply LVL beam to help distribute the upper level weight load. Next, our electrician roughed in 10 pot lights and future electrical wires for the upcoming kitchen reno.

The drywall was installed on the ceiling, and was primed and painted with of BEHR flat ceiling paint.

The room was ready for our electrician to return, where he added a brand new chandelier and the pot lights.

We promise, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you! Just Launch It Renovations completely transformed this Cambridge, Ontario, bathroom by removing the old and redesigning the new!

Our clients wanted their bathroom to be more functional, so we started with designing a new layout, where we removed the existing bath and toilet, flipping them to the opposite side of the room, which allowed for a double sink vanity!

After the plumbing and electrical components were roughed in, we started the rebuild process which included
-new mold resistant drywall
-a new sub floor
-taped, primed, and painted
-installed 4 niche
-laid the floor and shower tiles
-installed the glass shower door

The room was starting to look like a bathroom!

Our electrician and plumber returned to finish off their scope of work, which included the faucets, and shower fixtures, pot lights, over vanity lighting, and new outlets and switches.

Just Launch It Renovations completed the bathroom by adding 5 inch flat stock trim.

After the bathroom was completed, we got started on the second job with our clients, stay turned for PART 2!

Just Launch It Renovations and crew were called by a repeat client in Burlington, Ontario, to transform a closet into a shower with a bench.

As you can see from our “before” photos, we closed off the closet door that lead to a bedroom, and opened it up into the existing bathroom.

Our plumber came and roughed in a drain, along with shower controls, so we could install and prepare for tiles.

We waterproofed the area, before installing both floor and wall tiles.

We used light gray grout to give the tiles a pop, but we weren’t finished just yet, as we were asked to insulate the attic since our customers expressed they were experiencing heat loss.

What a great use of space!

This Burlington house had a list of jobs they wanted to get done. First up was new 2x4 walls, insulation,drywall and updated electrical. We even finished off the area with some new jamb extensions and trim before the painter comes in. We updated the washroom with a whole new shower enclosure as well as some mold resistant drywall in the bathroom with some new pvc trim around the shower .
In the back hall the customers wanted me to finish off wrapping these cavities with tongue and groove. They use this area for some storage

This Cambridge home was in need of some addition living space, some storage, and adding a two piece washroom so they don’t have to go upstairs. We came in and accomplished all of those needs. I love working on jobs like this as I get to do everything from the framing right down to the small finishes. Hope this growing family gets to enjoy the space for years to come.

Big or small we do them all! Aside from large projects we also take on smaller projects as all jobs need to be dealt with. The first job had some water damage, the bottom plate was rotten. We replaced the plate and fastened it to the wall studs. Squared up with some fresh new drywall, paper taped and feathered. Sanded to a primer ready finish.

The next job was a simple and straight forwards feather job. Customer had applied a coat of compound but left the feathering to the pros. Two coats and a sand and it’s was ready to be finished off.

Another Job that we worked on in November. This job was a small basement that they wanted to add a room too. We came in and finished off the framing of the bulkheads. We also framed a closet in the new room. We hung the drywall and took it to prime ready. The customer asked us to come in and give it a prime and they could take it the rest of the way. Pretty happy how this new usable space turned out.

Fresh floors! This job we launched back in November. We came in and installed new luxury vinyl plank flooring. The scope of the job was the whole main floor, the upstairs bedroom and hall, as well as 3 sets of stairs. I really like the stainless steel nosings with the colour of the floors. Way easier to clean than the carpets that we removed and a lot more durable for this growing family.

Some major updates on this cedar springs house in Burlington. We first came in near the end of the summer to frame up exterior walls for spray foam in the basement. We then framed up a large 9x10 washroom. We safe n sounded the ceilings,drywalled, taped, and sanded to a primer ready finish. Customers were so happy w our work that we worked to drywall and tape some additional walls as well as a large living room and dining room ceiling on the main floor.

We love transformations like this. This basement was originally used for mostly storage and laundry. We came in and gave it some new life. We turned the laundry area into a laundry/washroom. We framed and insulated as the basement wasn’t before. We installed new drywall, primed and painted the whole area. We capped the job off with floors, doors, and final finishes. Thanks to my subtrades for doing such a great job on the plumbing and electrical work.

This was our Princeton job site. We came in to a job that was down to the bare bones. This is a old farm house so it needed some love. We framed up some additional studs in the walls to level things up. We then insulated,drywalled and taped. While the mud was drying we installed new tongue and groove plywood to level off the floor. We finished off with some primer and paint. We will be back at this site to do trim and finishes.

For this job we travelled outside of our usual travel distance to help out some great friends. This job we worked on over a couple months between jobs. This site we came in and finished off some final framing, insulation and vapour barrier. We then came back and installed new 1/2 inch drywall. Followed up by some mud, tape, and a primer ready sand. Very happy that this family will be able to utilize this space.

Well summer flew by! Been a while since we posted some pictures of our sites. Life gets busy with a family and a summer schedule full of work. This was a Hamilton basement which we came in and finished off some framing. We then followed it up with some fresh new drywall and taping. Sanded to a primer ready finish

A fresh focal fireplace!

We removed the California knockdown ceilings and launched a new flat ceiling. Jackson Electrical installed the LED potlights and wired the outlet for the customers TV.

This room is nice and bright, and ready to be enjoyed by this Hespeler family.

Our customers hired us to replace a barn door with a latch style door on one of their children’s bedrooms.

We took down the barn door and filled in any holes from the track, getting the space ready to install the new pre hung door, which matched the other pre existing doors on this level. We finished the job by adding the new black handles, and painting our repairs as well as the door and trim.

Recently, Just Launch It Renovations finished off a pre-existing basement by adding personal touches as per this family’s request. We painted the walls, with one being focal and then installed new vinyl plank flooring. We finished off this basement with brand new 5 1/2” baseboard. Nothing cleans up a kitchen like a fresh, new, backsplash. Last week we worked on this Hespeler home, where the family is in the middle of slowly redoing their kitchen. They had a new counter top installed and before painting the cupboards they wanted to freshen up the space a little more. We came in and installed these 4x12 tiles in a subway pattern. We then installed a MAPEI Canada grout “frost”. We cannot wait to see what the final product looks like when the kitchen is complete.

Our most recent clients were looking to maximize and modernize their family living space and chose Just Launch It Renovations for the job! We completed this custom look, which included shelving, shiplap, tiling, cabinets, and a new wood mantle milled and oiled! We can’t forget about the added light fixtures, 2 new potlights!

We love to launch compound! Last week we came in and started taping this basement as the drywall was already installed. We installed all the outside corners, paper taped the seams, and then applied 3 coats of compound. To complete this project, we sanded to a primer ready finish.

Not only do we specialize in renovations, but we love to work off some drawing in giving a new house some life. We came into this custom home and did what we do best… Launch! We started with reframing the garage to accommodate the garage door and framed up a ceiling for spray foam of Plumbing and HVAC.

Up next was framing up the whole basement. We added an office, washroom, storage room, and a large media/utility room.

With this house and it’s size it has a special furnace set up so there was many bulkheads that needed to be built. We needed to lower the ceilings in a few areas. We completed all of this to prepare for spray foam and batt insulation.

Big or small we do them all ! This week we came back to the house we worked on last week taping in Hespeler. We came in to remove the existing 12x12 tiles on the stair landing. We installed a new scratch coat and laid these 12x24 tiles on it. We laid them in a subway pattern and finished them off with some delorean grey grout. Last thing we did was install a new stainless steel nosing to complete the job.

We launched this stairway taping project last week in hespeler. The area was in need of some TLC. Nothing we couldn’t handle. We cut out some of the damaged areas, and installed new drywall patches. We paper taped applied 3 coats of compound, then we sanded to a primer ready finish. The homeowners will paint and trim the area when they have time.

Just before the Christmas break we got into this Cambridge home. We freshened up a front room in this colonial home. We came in and replaced where a door used to be with new 1/2 inch drywall. We also removed where the old chimney pipe was and skimmed out any imperfections that we saw. We finished it off by hanging a new chandelier to light up the new space. Amazing to see how fresh it turned out!
