Even though the house was located in Vaughan and Michael's team are based out of Cambridge, they were able to complete the job in a record 5 months just in time for our wedding. I could not be more pleased with the final results. My "ugly duckling" is now a "beautiful swan."
Michael was professional from our first meeting. He and his crew were polite, worked well with the management team of the condo and finished the job on time!
Their workmanship is top notch. My bathroom required the removal of the existing tub and installation of a new shower, and cabinetry. His plumber worked miracles installing a new drain under concrete. I absolutely love the end result.
The kitchen, although small, is a dream to cook in thanks to Michael and his cabinet maker. Peter did a fabulous job on making both the bathroom vanity and the kitchen pot drawers plus spice drawer. I love the undermount lighting his electrician installed and the new backsplash.
I cannot say enough about Michael's attention to detail and design suggestions.

"In doing a full kitchen demolition, blowing out an external wall, and building a new kitchen, Mike's team was subtracted from the general contractor we hired to do a significant portion of the work. After experiencing his dedication to quality and customer service, I wish we had hired him directly for the entire job, and would recommend him for any other major project.

Our home is a 1929 home that has undergone a number of handyman-level changes over the years, so all aspects of the job required experience, a keen eye, and care. Him and his team were responsible for demoing an old kitchen (made challenging due to old materials), removing an exterior wall between the kitchen and an extension (made challenging due to non-code-abiding roofing), mounting 3 beams (L-beam lintel, I-beam, and LVL beam) for a new opening between rooms, framing and drywall, trim work, all electrical (subcontracted from Mike), and all plumbing (subtracted from Mike). Probably some other things I am missing. He did not do the tile, floor, or cabinetry - though I am confident he and his contacts could do an excellent job of that.

I could sing his praises for his work all day, but instead let me point out 3 things that really impressed me, and should assure you that you will be satisfied with his work.

One, the quality. Him and his team's attention to detail is amazing. The baseboard trim was copped at inside corners. When asked if we wanted to customize the trim slightly to better match the vintage of the home, his carpenter (Terry) ripped some samples for us. Very happy with the results. Mike uses the expression "is it level or is it within the lines" when verifying the quality of work. What I take from this is that he is interested in delivering perfection instead of "good enough", and it shows.

Two, the care. I invited people through the space while it was being demoed and everyone was floored by how clean it was. Clean! During the demo! And, naturally, he is very careful in every other way throughout his time in our house. Of course, mistakes were made from time to time, but Mike always owned up to them and offered to correct anything during and after the fact. I believe he budgets for such unforeseen issues, but also, he makes use of that budget when issues don't come up. In one case, his electrical team put in additional potlights instead of access panels, free of charge, due to freedom in the budget. They also installed additional high amperage plugs in the garage, free of charge, understanding that we would likely want them in the future. He really did think about our satisfaction with the new space in the long run.

Three, communication. Mike communicates very regularly and kept me abreast of every change that had come up. I came to rely on him for updates to the project where our general contractor was failing to do so. When he said he would arrive, he did, always on time. And, on that note, his work was always complete on or before the deadline (something I appreciate now as being quite rare).

Overall, my impression was that Mike wants our quality of life to have improved after his team has finished their work. And, it's true: we reflect on the work as well as the experience of working with him very positively."
