•Safe Catch and Release Practices•

- Wet your bare hands before handing any fish.

- Attempt to fight a fish as quick as possible. This will decrease the likelihood of exhaustion related mortality.

- Consider going barbless. By pinching the barb on your hooks, the hook can be removed much more easily.

- Proper tools. Having a pair of forceps on hand can help remove a hook much more efficiently.

- Keep fish off the banks/shore. Significant time out of water and damage caused by gravel and debris can be deadly to fish.

- Rubber nets do less harm to the fish, as knotted rope nets can damage the scales and “slime” of the fish.

- Keep ‘em wet. Make all attempts to keep a fish in the water. If snapping a quick picture, gently lift for only a couple seconds.

Hybrid is the thing between you and the big fish. It's that simple.

• Use safe wading practices. With high water levels and strong flows, be safe when choosing to wade. Remember that the structure of rivers can change over the winter months, so pay extra attention to each step. Use a wading stick or buddy if needed.

• Respect land owners. When accessing or crossing private land, please remember to respect the property. Leave no garbage and cause no damage.
