Forged lease document leads to house arrest for P.E.I. landlord | CBC News A P.E.I. landlord who altered a lease document while fighting to be allowed to charge a higher rent has been sentenced to 30 days of house arrest.

City Council cannot grandfather existing STRs that have managed to receive a provincial tourism operator license into their new regulation.

Grandfathering requires an operator to have been following the previous law, and there are no records of the City of Charlottetown ever giving municipal approval for a commercial STR to receive a tourism license.
