Rent: The Musical PEI closed last night, and today the set was broken down and loaded out. Thank you to all of the volunteers who came to help: you truly are the community in community theatre, and we love and appreciate you and your dedication to this show and the arts.

ACT may be a different organization moving forward, as we adjust to the upcoming loss of our storage and construction facility, but as an organization we will remain dedicated to our goal: providing amateur theatre at as close to professional quality as we can muster. A goal made possible by our sponsors, like Kendra Stretch - Realtor, Coldwell Banker Parker Realty , Holmes Construction and City of Charlottetown, PE. We appreciate your commitment to supporting the arts, and are eternally grateful.

And thank you so much to our audience: we sold out 4 of our 6 shows at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall, a first for us. Here's hoping we have many happy returns to this beautiful facility! Our audience are also a part of our community, and we hope to see you again soon.

Looking to add a second home on your property? New provincial changes now allow for a secondary dwelling to be placed on your property without subdividing or re-zoning. With the rising cost of affordable housing, placing a mini home or building a garden suite on your property may now be the best option for parents looking to down-size or eliminate high rent payments for grown children. These are meant to be long-term accommodations only, not vacation or short term rentals, and some restrictions do apply. For example, no accessory dwelling can be built on a property that is located on a private road. As well, the existing septic and well must be used, and the new home must be smaller than the existing home.

To those people that called us on Sunday to report the wind-related issues, Thank You! It is fantastic to see people looking out for others here. With all that is happening in the world, it's a reminder why Islanders are some of the best people out there!

Happy New Year! After a well deserved break, our crews are back at it tomorrow. A huge thank you goes out to our amazing team and wonderful clients for making 2023 such an incredible year! We can't wait to see what 2024 has in store!

Landon's got expensive taste, and his choice for day 12 was his Apple Watch SE with GPS. He uses it every day at work to ensure he doesn't miss an important phone call, text or email while on the go. Plus he loves to brag about how many steps he gets in a day!

When we asked Harrison, one of our carpenters, what would be on his blue collar wish list for Christmas, he said "A belt". This multipack has enough for his whole crew! He said it didn't matter what colour or style, but that he'd just be happy knowing it would keep their pants up all day while on the job.

Ryan, one of our operators, chose his air pods as his gift suggestion. They allow him to talk on the phone hands free while operating machinery, or listen to his favourite tunes!

Lauchlan, another one of our hardworking carpenters, wanted to choose his dog Winston for his gift recommendation. When we told him people might message him asking to buy Winston off of him, he quickly changed his tune and went with his Martinez Framing Hammer! Lauch say's its the best hammer in the world.

Taking a small break from Christmas gift suggestions so we could actually give some out! Thanks so much Ocean 100 for having us!

" Wow! that dollar store hand lotion left my skin feeling silky and smooth.." - No one, ever.

Administrative Assistant, Caitlin, chose O'Keefe's hand and foot lotion! She says, "Tis the season for self-care, wrapped up in a compact container! My winter essential for soft hands." A super stocking stuffer that's sure to rub someone the right way!

Alex Mackinnon, another one of our awesome carpenters, is keeping things pretty simple wth this 1.89 litre bottle of Tabasco Sauce! The perfect gift to add a little spice to someone's life !

Our Estimator and Draftsman, Oscar, chose this Victorinox Swiss Army Knife Multitool! Here's what he had to say about it, "First of all, it is red in colour, which is fundamental for a Christmas gift. Second, why write on a card when your personal engraved message can be carried around by your loved one year round? Carrying this item into a holiday party is more show-stopping than a tool box when it's time to show off your sommelier skills with that unopened bottle of wine."

Another one of our awesome carpenters, Ian, chose his steel toed, CSA approved Blundstone boots! He said "I'd have to go with my Blundstones, they are comfortable, have no laces to trip over, are light weight, form to your foot, and they're durable and water resistant!"

Customer Care Specialist Jonathon says "I love my laser measuring tape. It saves so much time when taking multiple measurements on a job site. If you are doing a lot of outdoor measurements, splurge and get the green laser, but indoors this works great. Plus if I go to a client's house and they have a cat, I can drive it nuts!"

Our Project Manager, Sam, chose this Yeti water bottle! She says "It keeps water cool amidst the infernos of parenthood. A stocking stuffer that's as tough as the job site."

One of our carpenters, Ben, loves his insulated lunch box. It keeps the warm things warm, and the cold things cold! The hard shell lets you can throw it in the back of your truck without your lunch getting squished!

Alex Davidson says "The first thing I do when I open my eyes, even before pouring my first cup of morning coffee, is strap this to my belt. Not a day goes by that this tool doesn't come in handy. The P4 Leatherman is the only Multi-Tool worth having on your Wishlist."
