Check out the Winners from todays CPEI Gravity Series season finale
Best of luck to all of the competitors tomorrow!
Tomorrow's race will decide who takes home this year's CPEI 2024 Gravity Series trophies. Who's making space on the shelf?
Some great PEI results to report from mountain bike races that took place at Grey Mountain XC in Windsor, NS and at the Wentworth Downhill Series in Wentworth, NS last weekend!
In Windsor, we saw a first place finish for Jillian Perry, a silver for Cecile Gallant and a bronze for Carter Weeks, with Reid Gallant getting close to the podium with a fourth-place finish in their respective youth categories.
Among the adults, CPEI High Performance program coach Cory Jay scored a third place finish in Windsor, while Mark Steele won silver in the male 40+ category at the first installment of the Wentworth Downhill Series taking place this month.
Congratulations to all athletes who participated and represented PEI at these competitions! We're proud of you!
If you haven't been to Brudenell Provincial Park recently, we highly recommend paying it a visit and checking out the multi-use trails connecting to the campground! Cycling PEI has been doing a number of improvements on the trail system this summer, including adding new boardwalk and new cycling skill features like teeters, skinnies and bridges!
Particularly with the closure (to vehicles) of the Robinson Island causeway, the Brudenell Trails may now lay claim to being to premiere PEI cycling skills park for novice cyclists!
Cycling PEI gratefully acknowledges the support of the government of PEI's Active Transportation Fund which has supported the development of these trails over the past four years, and thanks PEI Parks for hosting this great addition to our Island recreational cycling network!
