Looking for Junior Carpenter / Finisher for Furniture and Millwork

Growing company is looking to hire a full time entry-level carpenter / wood worker.
Job is for basic carpentry work from hard and soft woods, MDFand cabinet materials.
Work is in a shop environment with occasional site work.

JOB DUTIES:
- You will be making custom furniture to order to precise measurements.
- Work includes table saw, miter saw, drilling, sanding, staining and painting. Occasionally odd jobs may be required.
- All projects are based on productivity and a maximum time allotted for meeting deadlines is mandatory.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have working experience with power tools. Preference to individuals with carpentry or wood work schooling
- Fluent reading of drawings, imperial measurements and plans.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must have high standard of expectations of quality but work efficiently.

WAGE:
Paid biweekly. Wage based on experience

This Nicola Valley harvest table spans 9 feet but with extensions spans over 11-1/2 feet! Two inch figured maple top also features traditional breadboard ends and finished in our clients’ custom stain 🌿

We want to thank our client for allowing us the imagination to engineer and create these beautiful maple benches. These, in turn, were donated to the Sta’ailes First Nation and Abbotsford General Hospital. We were so happy with how it turned out and more over, the story that goes with it.

We worked with vertical grain fir for the cabinet tops and shelves to compliment the spaces surrounding millwork. Custom paint and stain exact matched to the walls and mantle.

Delivered and Setup 🌿 With the importance of complimenting the surrounding architecture, the table was created from 2” vertical grain fir and spans 11-1/2 feet. The natural finish was used to tie into the space’s millwork while the legs were specifically ordered from
