Wow. Today was a day filled with a whirlwind of emotions—tough, beautiful, and bittersweet. As we close the doors of our beloved Change Makers Refillery, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared over the past two years.

Our little shop has been more than just a place to grab good coffee and delicious food; it has been a hub of connection, sustainability, and community. The relationships we’ve built and the memories we’ve created together are what made saying goodbye so incredibly hard.

Thank you to each and every one of you who walked through our doors. You transformed our space into a warm and welcoming home, filled with laughter, support, and shared values. Your passion for sustainable living and your commitment to making a difference inspired us every day.

Though our storefront may be closing, this is not goodbye forever. We look forward to seeing you at local festivals with our coffee cart, around town, and in the community we all cherish. We’re still here for you—if you need us, just send a message, and we’ll find a way to connect.

Thank you for being a part of our journey and for reminding us that we are all change makers. Together, we’ve made a difference, and we will carry those memories with us always.

Dear friends, it’s true - Change Makers is hitting the market. This is a heavy decision but we believe it’s for the best. The battle against retail giants like Walmart and Amazon for sustainable lifestyle supremacy has proven to be an uphill climb, but rest assured, our commitment to authenticity remains unwavering amidst a sea of greenwashing.

While some may suggest a pivot in our approach or a radical shift in our business model, I stand firm in my belief in what we have built. The path forward may not be clear, but I am confident that we will forge ahead without the need for a physical storefront, we will be moving entirely to an online/delivery model.
I truly believe a new entrepreneur with a vision for change will thrive in our beloved space.

To all those who have supported us tirelessly over the past two years, your unwavering dedication has not gone unnoticed. Every moment spent in your company has been a gift. And to those who graced us with their presence sporadically, your impact was felt all the same. To those who dreamed of experiencing our refillery but never quite made it downtown, I regret that our paths didn’t cross sooner - your patronage could have made all the difference.

As we continue to operate business as usual until new ownership takes the reins, let’s make the most of this summer together. Your downtown businesses are counting on your support, now more than ever.

Friends, it’s time to share a little secret with you all. I know we’ve been a bit quiet lately and our shop has been looking a bit empty, leading some to believe we’re closing up. But let me assure you, that’s not the case at all! We’re actually welcoming our friends and .designs to pop up in our space for the summer.

Easter, but make it sustainable 💁🏼‍♀️

Some simple tips to make this holiday a little more earth friendly.
Replace the plastic faux grass which is often used to fill the bottom of Easter baskets and instead opt for shredded recycled paper.
Rather than filling a basket with plastic-wrapped sweets or toys, why not opt for gifts that will not end up in the landfill?
Bulk barn is a great option for sweet treats. Candy can be presented in small cloth bags, in wooden eggs, or fill up small mason jars.
Garden Gifts are on point for Easter, think seed bombs, little shovels and spades in a tin bucket. Planting a garden is a great family activity, so it is a gift that keeps giving.
Crafting supplies are wonderful basket fillers, you can find pretty recycled paper, sustainable pencil crayons and so much more at your local craft store.
Don’t forget, you don’t have to change everything! One sustainable change in each household this season will start to change the way we think and after time, it will change the world ✌️❤️🐰

Like the trash panda, we use what others would just throw away. One person’s trash is another person’s treasure.
We reuse every bottle we can;; see potential in curbed furniture; mend our clothing and buy thrifted.
The more we can reuse the less that ends up in the landfill, but more than that, less is being manufactured in large factories.

Why use laundry strip?

Because laundry strips are lightweight and mess-free, they are super convenient for travel and take up way less storage space than detergents or pods. Most importantly our laundry strips are plastic-free, biodegradable, plant-based, zero waste and cruelty free!

Why use dryer balls?

Because dryer balls are more Eco-Friendly. Dryer balls are reusable, and do not use chemicals like a traditional dryer sheet or fabric softener so they are an eco-friendly option. Plus, wool dryer balls are made of natural fibers. They are also more Energy efficiency. Dryer balls help separate the laundry in the dryer cycle so air can circulate better, this means less dryer time!
