Venture13 is thrilled to announce that we will pilot a STEM Summer Camp for Youth in August 2023. Budding innovators aged 11-14 can join us for a fun week of coding, robots, experiments, games, problem-solving and learning about entrepreneurship.

This pilot would not be possible without the support and resources provided by The Rotary Club of Cobourg, Northumberland Makers, HistArch3D, and members of the Venture13 Innovation Ecosystem.

Unfortunately, the Northumberland Makers will not be holding Summer Camps this year in 2023. Although many have expressed interest in our line-up and we were looking forward to our 2023 season of camps, due to widespread staffing shortages we are unable to find qualified instructors to fill some of our positions.

It is an extremely difficult decision to make but there was no other alternative. We hope to be back with a full schedule of camps next year!

This week we were happy to welcome the youth from Camp Aim - Math and Coding Camp, to Northumberland Makers for a chance to learn with us. Melissa Searle, a certified teacher and our newest Instructor, shared Spheros, Ozobots, Makey Makeys, 3D printing and more through a Math focus.

Our MakerLab will be closed Sunday July 21st as our volunteers are taking a well deserved break from a busy week of camps and Making!
