A fun few days at the Northumberland and North Dumfries plowing matches to round out the plow season for 2023! The best part, our new team of Ted and Lily are coming along nicely and Cecilia earned enough points to plow at next years International Plowing Match in Lindsay!

Thanks to Lynn Cassels-Caldwell for the beautiful photo taken of the team! As well, Sophia Diebold thanks for bringing grandpa out to watch and you’re officially hired to help out next year lining up stakes etc etc. And of course thanks to Conor Green for helping his wife and new team get the points they needed to qualify❤️❤️

A Gift of Art is pleased to announce the Snowcastles of Newcastle contest! Taking place on Saturday March 4th at the Clarington Public Library (Newcastle branch) individuals and teams will create an original snowcastle sculpture in a designated space. Sculptures will be judged on design, process, structural soundness, and overall creativity. Fantastic prizes to be won, including a top prize of $500!⛄

Not only will there be an amazing contest to take part in but also many fun activities including horse drawn carriage rides, brought to you by: Top Notch Horse Drawn Carriage Service

Snowcastle building takes place from 9 am - 5 pm, activities will be taking place from 11 am - 3 pm.

Thanks to the municipality of port hope, we were thrilled to kick off the free Christmas rides downtown port hope on Friday night!

Due to COVID 19 we are using a smaller carriage and keeping it to one social bubble per ride. You will also have to sign in before your ride so try to get in line early! There will be hand sanitizer available at the sign in table and also the use of face masks is encouraged.

You will find us on Queen st across from town hall this December 5th, 12th, and 19th from 11-2pm!
