Our Story

I am the proud owner and Esthetician at Serenity Esthetics Studio. I have over 20 years experience in the spa and beauty industry. I am specialized in advanced skin care and have had the fortune of training at Dominelli International College of Esthetics, one of the most prestigious European Esthetic Schools in the city at the time. I graduated in 1999 with top honours and received my CIDESCO Diploma, still recognized today in Europe as one of the highest standards of Esthetics training. I also specialized in Electrolysis, the only permanent method of hair removal approved by the FDA.

After completing my training, I spent a few years working in the industry at a few spas which enabled me to use what I learned and build upon it with real life experience. It was after I gave birth to my first child in 2002 that I decided I was going to start my own business and work from home so I could still do what I love and be able to work my schedule around my family. I have now been working and running my own business for over 17 years.

My interest in esthetics started when I was in my very young 20s, dealing with major skin issues of my own, I searched high and low for answers. I remember going doctor to doctor for solutions only to be prescribed medications that had major side effects. I purchased hundreds of different products that promised to give a quick fix ...but nothing worked. It was when I went to see an esthetician for the very first, she sat me down and really educated me in skin care. Needless to say, she helped me get my skin on track...and from that day on I was determined to help others!

What makes my job so amazing? Well, I absolutely love what I do! Not only do I get to make people feel better about themselves, but I get satisfaction in seeing results and knowing that I made a difference in someone’s day or in someone’s life. I love teaching people about their skin and how to achieve the best outcome. When my clients come back to me and thank me for helping them and they are happy, I know I have done my job well. Skin care and esthetics is more than just about beauty, it is about health and wellness that includes a holistic approach. I get to know each client on a very personal level...I learn about them by asking questions about their diet, their lifestyle, hereditary factors, stressors, and lifestyle. This allows me to provide the best possible service and make the best recommendations for the best possible outcome. Most of my clients who have been coming to me for many years, some from the very beginning, really feel like family to me. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful people who continue to trust in me and show me so much loyalty and appreciation.
