We will cover how the best golfers in the world use ground reaction forces and the common mistakes that the average golfer makes and how to fix them. This session will also include a live demonstration where some of the participants will be able to use the Swing Catalyst dual motion plates. We will go over the data/findings and demonstrate quick and easy fixes to their swing technique.⁣

Registration for our Summer Break Camp is officially open! ⁣

Our camps for junior golfers age 6-18, starts July 2nd and runs throughout summer break. We have regular half day camps, Girls Only Camps and Future Stars Camps (AM camp runs 9AM-12PM and PM camp runs 1PM-4PM.) Groups have a maximum 4:1 student to instructor ratio. No equipment or experience necessary and U.S. Kids Golf rental clubs are available. We will also be offering Full Day Camps for junior golfers who have passed our Level 3 program.⁣

It was such a honor to represent and coach Team BC during the Canadian Junior Championship at North Bay Golf & Country Club in Ontario.⁣
⁣
I couldn’t be more proud of the team which was comprised of James Lee, Ryan Vest and Ryan Liang. On the first two days, there was an interprovincial competition where Team BC finished 2nd place (just behind Team Ontario.) We also had a strong finish in the Junior Championship with James Lee tying for 2nd place and Ryan Vest tying for 4th place. ⁣

It was an absolute honor to coach such a talented team and I look forward to next year’s Canadian Junior!

Congrats to our very own Carter Sam for being invited to compete at ’s Junior Skills National Event this past weekend at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club!

We hosted a Junior Skills Challenge last month at Lago Golf Academy and all player scores were entered into the National Leaderboard. Golf Canada then selected the top four ranked players in each age and category and invited them to compete at the National Event.

Carter, we are so proud of you! Keep it up! 🙌

📣 Hey junior golfers! You’re invited to compete in the Junior Skills Challenge on Tuesday, July 18th!⁣
⁣
The Golf Canada Junior Skills Challenge focuses on the key golf skills of putting, chipping and driving. Each junior will be tested on their ability to putt, chip, and drive the golf ball and their score will be posted on the National Leaderboard. ⁣
⁣
The Skills Challenge will take each junior golfer just over half an hour to complete, with the first start time being at 5PM. Junior golfers are welcome to practice before hand on the practice greens and the driving range.⁣
⁣
Top competitors nationally will then be invited to compete in the annual Junior Skills Challenge National Event.⁣
⁣

🙌 Canucks Junior Golf Week is just around the corner and we’re excited to be back this year and hosting 3 afternoons of camp!⁣

“The skills developed through golf complement those of other sports, including hockey, while participating in golf also imparts important life skills such as honesty, sportsmanship, responsibility, integrity and respect. Participants will learn the benefits of staying active while exploring the game of golf, all the while meeting new friends and having fun. Canucks Junior Golf Week camps are practical for young golfers of all experience levels, including those who have previously never picked up a club. The initiative has introduced thousands of British Columbia youth to the sport since launching in 2014.”⁣

The camp is open to kids, ages 5-17 and the cost is only $20 (+GST), which includes equipment rental (if required), facility fees, certified golf instruction led by PGA of BC Professionals and tee-gifts.⁣

Please note that registration for all camps will close Monday, July 3rd at 4PM PST. Last year, our camps filled up super fast and space is limited so make sure you sign up ASAP! ⁣

Last Sunday, we hosted the 2023 BC Regional ID Camp for some of the top up and coming junior golfers in the Lower Mainland.⁣
⁣
This camp allowed and to do a Talent ID assessment of each golfer’s entire game, including putting, chipping, wedge play, long game combine. Each of them also did a physical screening with .⁣
⁣
We are excited to help assess their abilities with our industry leading technology to help find areas in their golf game to improve so they can play their best!⁣

Women’s Golf Day… is now a full week! We’re celebrating all week long from May 30th - June 6th this year and introducing women and girls to golf and celebrating existing players!⁣

We love introducing golf to kids starting at a young age and a great way to do that is through our Summer Break Camp. We have a Girls Only Junior Summer Camp running throughout summer break. It’s taught by one of our female instructors, and allows our junior girls have a fun and safe way to learn the game of golf with others.⁣
