Every post is set 4' deep in concrete, below the frost line in our area. The vinyl posts are fastened to 14G rectangular galvanized steel tubing. Each of the 3 rails in this style are stiffened with galvanized steel, so you can be sure that it will not sag over time (unlike lower quality vinyl fence systems).

The upfront cost of vinyl, compared to the cost of a wood fence, is a little higher, but the cost savings over years of staining or replacing wood posts far outweighs the cost difference on a new install of vinyl.
