Major renovations have taken place at this cottage. Removed a door and replaced it with a window, replaced another window with a door and installed side windows, gutted and rebuilt the bathroom, removed walls inside, flooring, the list continues.

The transformation that this property has experienced is something else. Just because you have a lot of work to do, doesn’t mean it has to be done overnight. I work with property owners to do work in stages.

If you are a seasonal property owner and would like work done while you are aren’t onsite so it doesn’t impact your time on the island, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Yesterday was the last day of the National Skills Competition for this year. And yes, we had several award winners from Prince Edward Island. Another great year of competition.

Looking forward to next year’s competition.

In order to pull off the National Skills Competition, it takes a massive amount of work by Skills Canada members.

What many don’t know is that many like myself who are self employed, help put on these competitions. When we attend, we lose time on jobs that are waiting. That’s time with no income coming in.

Why do we do it year after year? We do it to help highlight the trades in Canada, to help others achieve recognition for their hard work, and to help make others aware of the incredible work done by Canadians from coast to coast.by

For over a decade now, I have been a member of Skills Canada as well as Skills PEI and a judge for the Cabinetmaking competition.

Skills Canada National Competition is just days away in Vancouver. Looking forward to another great competition this year. Please take a moment to wish applicants across Canada another great year.

Taking on a project. I will be incorporating some parts of this old organ into a unique coffee table. The finished project will be available for purchase.

This client had several items he wanted addressed. Tile replacement in kitchen, new countertop, flooring, baseboards….

The work at this house will be wrapped up this week, just in time for Christmas.

I received a call from a client a few weeks ago, his old baby barn finally packed it in.

Needing a place to store his lawn care items, he requested a new barn with a slope pitch roof. The doors went on today. The finishing touch of a ramp remains.

Glad to get this done before the weather turned.

Very honoured tonight to partake in the Christmas parade in Cornwall this evening. I am already planning what I want to do next year. My penguin had a bit of a lean to him by the end of the parade but he hung on till the end.

In the first photo, I had removed an old stand-up shower, removed the old flooring and I am getting it ready to put on a brand new unit.

The home owner also wanted a new sink so I made a custom unit for this space. I will post photos of the finished product soon.

Job complete, I was able to incorporate part of the original into a new design for them.

Another job getting close to being complete. This will make it much more accessible for the home owner.

French doors installed to make working from home more functional. They turned out great.

The job of a handyman is to fix/repair/build things. In this case, the homeowner owned this house for 40 years but the door to their en-suite bathroom never shut properly.

No job is too small. Sometimes these small things have a huge impact on the enjoyment of your property.

This cottage owner wanted to do a lot of the work themselves but needed someone to replace the old windows for them.

The original patio was 30 years old and needed replacing. The rotten boards were removed and disposed of. The homeowner requested that it be replaced with a smaller patio which suited their needs better. It was incorporated into a newer portion which was still in good shape.
