This bears repeating. There is NO SUCH THING as a "Healthier" Nail Enhancement system. They are ALLLLL based on the same Chemistry (Acrylate/Acrylic). What's healthier is a Nail Tech that works in a clean & safe fashion, following manufacturer's directions and using regulated products. What's also healthier for nails are clients that follow aftercare advice.
The word "Healthier" needs to be removed from Marketing.

Since retiring and busy rehabbing my leg, I have time on my hands.
Time to witness people saying "XYZ (nails/hair/food at restaurant, etc) is too expensive, it only costs abc$ for me to do it at home".
OF COURSE it costs less for you to do it at home. You do NOT have years upon years of business expenses behind you invested building the business, nor current ongoing expenses.

When you pay for a service, you are NOT 'just' paying for the products used. You are paying for the SERVICE provided which encompasses a lonnnnnnnnnnnng list of things.
Sure, some Businesses prices are out of your budget and that's ok. That doesn't mean that their prices are too high. It means your budget doesn't permit for that luxury expense. In that case, maybe going without OR that DIY is better suited to you.
Service providers deserve a living wage too.

This nonsense is why clients MUST sit straight and square facing the Nail Tech, with their arms straight forward, and relaxed.

I used to get inquiries like this all of the time, and I see Techs yapping about this sort of thing STILL today.
You can't just ask "How much for nails?" That's not how it works.
There are innumerable variables that affect the cost:
1-Product used: Nail Polish, Gel Polish, BIAB Gel, Full Cover Gel Tips, Structure/Hard Gel, Acrylic, Acrygel, Dips etc
2- New Set or Fill or Removal + Set?
3- Length? (YES!!!!! Length matters!!! A small fry is NOT the same price as a large. Same applies to nails. The longer the nails are, the more time and product required = more $$)
4- Art: What kind of art? how much art? how long will it take the Tech to execute it and what products will she need to execute it? All of this matters and affects cost.
Read. The. Menu.
Know exactly what you want. If you don't, that's ok. Ask questions and inform yourself. A QUALITY Salon will welcome questions. IF they don't. It's the WRONG salon.

This set was either 1- done by a newbie who didn't know better and was too timid to tell her client to sit properly OR. 2- done by a Tech sick and tired of repeating herself to the client about sitting properly so she said "F**k it, you live with the consequences of your actions"
