As with many from across the world, the tragedy that immediately took the lives of 15 and now 16 from the Humboldt Hockey Organization has hit a personal cord at the Ontario Hockey Academy. OHA students and staff are honouring the lost lives, the families suffering and those still recovering on Jersey Day by raising funds to contribute to the existing go-fund. OHA administration will be matching what they raise and would like to challenge other businesses in Cornwall to do the same. May the families find solace in knowing that the world is mourning with them and may they all find the strength needed to recover from this great loss. #prayerforHumboldt #fortheloveofhockey

Today OHA will have an alumna crowned Canadian Women University Hockey Champion. We're just not sure who. Alumni University of British Columbia #26 MATHEA FISCHER is playing against University of Montreal #28 CATHERINE DUBOIS. We'll be watching as its televised on Sportnet TV. In NCAA, Clarkson University Genevieve Bannon lost in overtime in fridays semi-final missing a chance to earn her second national championship.
