Silver Heron House CLEAN GETAWAY!

Come enjoy your Getaway at Silver Heron House, on Prince Edward Island, Canada. We are committed to offering our guests peace of mind when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene.

We are now working toward when Silver Heron House will re-open for you to take advantage of the healthy climate and surroundings that Prince Edward Island has always been known for.

We have established a new cleanliness protocol in the wake of COVID-19. Disinfectant, bleach, alcohol wipes, alcohol hand sanitizing gels, and disinfectant soaps will be used throughout the property. As per our regular practice, our sheets are disinfected during washing following every guest visit.

These enhanced cleaning protocols will be implemented immediately. This new normal will be guest-ready by late July when we will re-open according to Prince Edward Island’s re-opening plan for the Atlantic provinces. At that time, the management and staff of Silver Heron House will be here to welcome you back to our lovely pastoral setting on the York River, on our private acreage just a short drive from Charlottetown.

We are ironing out the details, but for now here's a look at what's being developed:
• Contactless check-in and check-out. All payment completed in advance;
• Guests and employees entering the premises will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands – Sanitizing gel will be available upon entering;
• Extra disinfection for items like light switches, door handles, TV remotes, air conditioning remotes, room keys and more;
• Our cleaning staff will be following strict protocols when preparing the house for your arrival. The house has been fully inspected by the provincial authorities responsible for accommodation licensing and they have approved our COVID-19 response plan;
• Disinfectant sprays, washes and detergents will be used in the general sanitization process.

Staff will be using personal protective equipment such as masks/gloves in order to join in the new enhanced cleanliness effort.

This new “Silver Heron House Clean Getaway” builds on industry best practices that have been developed over recent months so as to ensure guests can rest easy with us and focus on enjoying their well-deserved vacation, all the while protecting our hospitality team, here to serve you.

When will customers actually be returning to vacation rentals to experience all these new efforts?

Silver Heron House on Prince Edward Island has not been open as yet during the 2020 season. We will be opening soon in July.

Prince Edward Island was closed to all non-residents as soon as the Canadian COVID-19 lockdown was announced in mid-March. The Island has fared very well and has only had a few cases during this initial phase of the virus in Canada. We wish to protect our team, residents and guests from COVID-19 and will therefore adopt our new "Silver Heron House Clean Getaway" as of our re-opening in late July.

We believe that in July and August visitors to Prince Edward Island will begin to return to enjoy the natural refuge of our perfect, quiet combination of beach, ocean air, and rural countryside. In the meantime, we will remain flexible in our cancellation and stay-delay policies in the event that the COVID-19 situation changes. We may need to make adjustments to our plan as we proceed and listen to our guests and learn what they wish to see implemented.

As always, our guests are number one to our team at Silver Heron House and we welcome their suggestions.
