Creston Lodge #54 would like to wish everyone the very best of the Holiday Season. May it be filled with Good Friends, Good Food and Wonderful Memories.
Interesting light in the West of Lodge Carbonear.
Creston Lodge #54 is very proud to have our 5 newly raised MMs proved their proficiency today. They were dressed in their MM Aprons and name tags by their sponsors. The MM Certificate Lecture was presented flawlessly and then the Grand Old Book Lecture, AKA the Traveling Charge. They were all then installed into their Offices. A delicious banquet topped off the day.
Creston Lodge held our Installation of Officers yesterday. WBro Scott Veitch passed the gavel to VWBro Mike Gibbons. It was a very good day.
Best wishes to WBro. Mike Gibbons on his installation in the oriental chair of King Solomon. Good luck for a successful year in the East.
Creston Lodge #54 is proud to have raised 5 Brethren to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. It was a very memorable day for all. A huge thank you to the Brethren who visited today, some of them traveling more than 2 hours each way.
Creston Lodge hosted an abbreviated International Day on Saturday May 6th. The 1st one in since 2019. The turnout was excellent and brotherhood was exchanged between the Grand Lodges of Idaho and BC&Y. It will be held on the 1st Saturday in May every year. So put Saturday May 4th on your calendar now.
Something thought provoking.

A couple of pictures from Robbie Burns
Creston #54 hosted our Robbie Burns Dinner last night. A great time was had by all. Lots of non Masons and our 3 Candidates enjoyed our annual tribute to the Bard. You'll enjoy the video of Will Nixon doing the Address to the Haggis.
Interesting.
Robbie Burns Night. January 28th.
On Saturday September 24th, Creston Lodge hosted the Grand Lodge of BC&Y when they dedicated the Cornerstone of the Town of Creston's new Emergency Services Building. I know it's a little late but, here are some pictures from that day.
And you thought Masons only built buildings and walls!
Check your Masonic knowledge.

Interesting topic.
We now have a Begin You sign on the hall. It's a marketing program to help good men find Freemasonry.
The following posted by RWB Wes Regan, who also works with the Provincial Health Officers office. While he doesn’t say it was a Masonic meeting, the lesson can be learned by all.
“Was at a meeting on Tuesday, about 20 people. One guy showed up visibly sick but everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt, must be allergies, probably something else. Now half the people at that meeting have COVID. I've been home sick since yesterday with scratchy sore throat, brutal headache, body aches, tired. Some of the others are in worse shape. Bronwen and I might have to cancel a long anticipated vacation we had planned for next weekend. My mother only comes down once a year from the NWT to Kelowna and we try to meet up and see family there when she does. One of the meeting attendee's partners may have to cancel a ticketed event she has been planning for several months, refund people their money etc. Everyone's lives have been thrown into chaos because 1) somebody came to a meeting visibly sick 2) Nobody at the meeting said anything (I guess we're just too polite)
This […]virus is still going around people, I know I've let my guard down and finally it has caught up with me. Let's all try to abide by the simple wisdom of not going out if we are coughing and sneezing and have a fever, and don't be like me, if someone shows up to something in that state, stand your ground and tell them to go […] home.”
Soon able to get together, Brethren!
Effective February 17, 2022, while keeping the BC Vaccine Card, indoor masking requirements and COVID-19 safety plans in place, the Provincial Health Officer will lift restrictions on personal gatherings, organized gatherings and events, nightclubs, bars and restaurants, exercise and fitness, and adult sports tournaments. Capacity limits will return to normal. To read the full news release go to: https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2022HLTH0053-000219.
