Here at Cumberland Brewing, we have our very own unique mama bear Chloe - along with her oh so curly and smart Arlo! Chloe is a proud, loving, and caring mama, and we have the chance to witness motherhood through her every single day. Arlo is part of the CBC family and we all cherish the time we get to spend with him. We feel very lucky to have them both!
To all our mama bears out there, thanks so much for everything you are doing!

Our patio is now unlocked!
Tarps are removed, gravel ground has been remade - thanks -, and big black curtains have disappeared. The weather is about to get warmer starting Thursday, all you have to do is come down for a bite or a drink! 🍻

Pictured here are two of our well-loved regulars Adam and Emma. These two moved from the U.K. in 2011 and have been gracing us with their cheekiness and comradery for the last several years. You can usually find them having a pint or two after a mountain bike ride in our beautiful Cumberland Forest. They have declared Canadian beer better than U.K. beer, and here at CBC it is the Finally IPA and Forest Fog for them. They Love to laugh, and we love to laugh along with them! Thank you for supporting our Brewery you two.

The Chicken Shawarma is back! 👀
Shawarma is a popular and delicious Middle Eastern street food dish. Seasoned chicken thigh pieces, oven roasted and served aside beet hummus, spicy harissa sauce, turnip pickles and a locally made Baji Naan. We haven’t seen this dish on our menu since 2019 and we’re so glad to serve it to you again! Yum! ♥️

Shoutout to the beloved Soup Boys! 🍻
For as long as we can remember (every Tuesday to be exact) these remarkable gentlemen grace our brewery with their big smiles, laughter, loyalty & most of all their admiration for our soup of the day. 🥣
We call them The Soup Boys! (Otherwise known as Hamish, Ed, Paul, Al & the two Terrys). We’re happy they have chosen our space for their weekly get together, reminding us why we love what we do. Here’s to many more bowls of soup and rounds of beer together!

Our innovative menu centers around fresh food (no deep fryers here) utilizing locally sourced ingredients.

We offer a fun, upbeat work environment with a team that genuinely cares about each other. $18/hour to start, gratuities, eligibility for benefits, and great company perks.

New Beer alert! 🚨
HAZY IPA
Introducing our newest beer on tap, the Hazy IPA. Now this is a juicy, tropical bomb. We used a traditional English yeast for this one, to give the beer some more fruity esters. The yeast (London ESB) leaves some more residual sugars for more body and mouthfeel. We hopped this one with a variety of Galaxy, Azzacca & Mozaic hops. Cheers! 🍍🍻

This lovely human being could undoubtedly go without introduction. But for the purpose of this post, here is our darling Sham, who designed one of our t-shirt logos, and who is also a fabulous artist and creator of this beautiful mural located next to the liquor store here in Cumberland. Sham's t-shirt design represents the importance of expressing your weird self - with a pint of CBC beer, of course.

Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Sham has been living for 8 years in the valley now. Fun facts about her : she has never cut the length of of hair and she can speak fluent Punjabi. Funny enough, her favourite animal are snakes 🐍, favourite colours are deep purple and turquoise, and her fabourite CBC beer is the Finally! IPA because she is a hoppy gal 😎

Born on October 7, proud triple Libra, Sham loves playing cards, crafting, laughing and traveling.
If she could be an animal, she would morph into a large bird of prey. Soon it's gonna be 8 years that Sham is working with us at Cumberland Brewing - with a 7 month hiatus in 2019 - 2020.

You can recognize Sham by the warmth of her smile, her love for life, and her social gathering skills. Come in and meet her if you haven't already!

Last week's winners were husband and wife Jade and Shona, respectively 1st and 2nd. Who wants to be this week's champions but, most especially, who's going to win the Grand Champion's title for the entire season?
There is one nice way to find out: come play with us! Game starts at 6pm. 1st place gets $30 gift card, 2nd $15, and our Grand Champion will be receiving a choice of merch plus $100 gift card!

All you have to do is order any of our drinks and say "I love local" to one of our staff members to receive a free small bite to eat! Last week we had a full room and full patio, it was awesome to see all the smiles. Let's make it happen again tonight!

TASTING FLIGHT | Did you know our tasting flight is made of your own selection of 5 of our beers? Now is a great time to come in for one since we currently have 8 different beers on tap (by now we mean tomorrow because we're closed on Mondays). You can even sample our rotating cider if you want to!
Other than our core line up - Forest Fog, Just a Little Bitter, Red Tape, Finally! and The Dancing Linebacker, we also pour a Pilsner, a Porter and our Barley Wine - yes, it's a type of beer :) Our current cider flavour is Raspeary from Scenic Road Cider Co.

This is our awesome Bryn! You might recognize her from around the brewery pouring pints for the last 5 years or painting up a storm around town. She also designed one of our new T-shirts!

Her T-shirt design represents the creatures from the forest, with the raven which is a mischievous creature that would probably try and open up a growler to have a sip.

Bryn was born in Port hardy but was raised in Cumberland! She grew up building forts in the forest and swamps with Chloe Speed (another one of our amazing servers here at the brewery).

It’s that time of the week again… the time where we congratulate the winner of last week’s cribbage tournament, and welcome the challengers of tonight’s match.
Unfortunately we do not have a picture of last week’s winner Cole and runner up Grasy. Due to the boss having to much fun in the snow and loosing his phone.
Thanks to all who came out last Tuesday looking forward to seeing you all again tonight.

Let us introduce you to our newest menu item: the Chipotle black bean and beef dip! Topped with crispy onions and cilantro and served with tortilla chips, this warm dip will fill your belly nicely and pair well with any of our beers. Although we have been serving it for a few weeks already, perhaps your tastebuds didn't get the chance to experience it yet. Now is the time! GF option also available!

This is our dear sweet Allandra, she designed one of our new T-shirt designs here at Cumberland Brewery. Allandra originally sprouted from Langley BC then spent some time in Kamloops and Williams Lake BC.

Her T-shirt design: The bear the bike and the beer represents her first impression of Cumberland. How healthy the bear population is here and how fierce, sleepy and well fed they are.

Favourite beer at the Brewery: Oatmeal Stout because it’s creamy and delicious

Fun fact: Allandra can make oddly accurate bird noises
