REACH is the amount of users that come across your IG post/story.

As a small business/content creator, your goal should be to increase your reach on a weekly basis.

To view your reach, click on the insight button and it’s the first thing listed. Unfortunately, this feature is only available to business accounts.

So how does one increase their reach?

🌸 POST AT YOUR OPTIMAL POST TIME
Depending on where in the world you are, OPT varies. Pay attention to your insights to find out what’s your OPT and post accordingly. Ensure you have a schedule & stick to it❗️

🌸 RELEVANT HASHTAGS
I’ve talked about hashtags a lot but that should show you how important they are, especially when used correctly. Hashtags ensure that your post is being seen by the right people who would most likely interact with your content. (I’ll dedicate a whole post to hashtags😄)

🌸INTERACT WITH YOUR ONLINE COMMUNITY
And I’m not talking about just by throwing random emojis together in the comment section. I’m talking about actually engaging with your audience and other creators in your niche. It’s a great way to increase your audience and build connections.

It’s important that your account is discoverable on social media because that’s how you attract more followers and grow your page.

So how d’yu develop & improve your SEO:

1) Your profile🌸
Your name,username and bio are key elements to make your account discoverable. Make sure they are unique but still easy to find😃

2)Captions🌸
Make sure you have fun and engaging captions and use captions that relate to the pictures. There’s also a feature called ALT text, which I’ll discuss next week, that allows you to describe in detail the post putting it on the explore page🤗

3) Relevant hashtags & tagging🌸
This is probably the easiest way to land on the explore page or have people find you.
