DAY 2 YOU’LL SEE:
⭐️ A full room of clothes including a mega restock with fall/winter clothing

⭐️ From 1-4 PM, all clothes will be 50% off!
A few things to note:
- IKEA opens at 10am tomorrow so if there is a lineup in the morning, it will form outside
- The Macdonald Bridge is closed Sunday Aug 4
- Unfortunately, we have next to no PLUS clothing left. There are many reasons that plus clothing can be hard to find when thrifting, including the fact that because it can be hard to access in general, people tend to hold on to it longer instead of donating. It is important for us to offer clothing for all sizes and we will do our best to explore other ways to source in this category for future events.

🎈It’s POP UP WEEKEND AT IKEA! 🎈
Here’s what you need to know:
- You can find us at in the Community Room which is location at the top of the stairs to the right. It’s also accessible by escalator or elevator.
- The first 15 people in line will score 15% off their purchase with us, a sweet treat AND a reusable tote bag from IKEA!
- We accept both cash & cards for payment
- Our space is accessible for wheelchairs & strollers
- We will have most of our clothing hanging on racks this time, but you should still come prepared to dig! With no price tags and clothing being put out in broad categories, part of the adventure will involve hunting for treasure!
- There are no change rooms. The room will have a few mirrors, so if you’d like to try things on, wear an outfit that will allow you to try your items on over it!
- Masks will be available at the entrance at no cost
- We invite you to bring your own reusable bags to shop with but we also have quite a few available
- All attendees can enjoy 15% off at IKEA’s AS IS section all weekend long!

A- If you wish to bring your gently-loved clothing, shoes and accessories to donate, you’ll receive a 20% off coupon for Venture Thrift Boutique in Halifax, a thrift store social enterprise run by our partner for this event, Affirmative Ventures.

Q2- Where are you getting the clothes? 🛍️
A- We purchase our clothing in bulk from Canadian charities.

Q3- How will it work? ⁉️
A- Clothing will be sorted on racks and tables by category. You’ll definitely need to dig a little- it’s all part of the fun!

Q4- What can I expect to find? 🔎
A- We will have clothing, shoes and accessories for all genders sized XS-PLUS but cannot guarantee how much you’ll find in each category You’re SURE to find some exciting pieces! For this event, we will have no kids clothing.

Q5- Will any clothing be priced? 🏷️
A- NO! We want to keep things simple for everyone. ALL clothing is $6.99 per pound, even if it is a grail find or a major label. You might find anything!

Q7- Will you be restocking? ⏰
A- We will do general restocking every 1-2 hours throughout the event until we run out of stock!

A- There is a TON of free parking at IKEA! IKEA is also accessible by taking the #72 bus to Cutler Avenue.

- The lineup for our event will start INSIDE the Prospect Road Community Centre at 2141 Prospect Road
- The first 15 people in line at our Pop-Up will score FREE ENTRY and 15% off their purchase!
- If you took a cab/uber to the event, show proof/receipt at the cash and we will give you 1 pound of clothing FREE to offset your cost! (*one pound per vehicle)
- We accept both cash & cards for payment

- Be prepared to dig! With no price tags and clothing being put out in broad categories, part of the adventure will involve some digging

As the founder of The Great Halifax Clothing Swap, Charlotte is deeply committed to promoting clothing reuse and making affordable, accessible thrifting events available to our community. She aims to empower individuals to express their unique fashion sense while contributing positively to the environment.
Brigid has been selling secondhand treasures in Dartmouth for almost 10 years with her business and started Halifax’s biggest vintage show in 2019, helping to grow and support the secondhand community in Halifax with over 100 unique sellers over 14 shows.
