The Huge Maple Tree across from the Billiards is slated to be cut down soon. People are gathering to stop the destruction of this historical land mark. This is the most beautiful Maple tree i have ever seen. So if you agree, share your thoughts.

Back from vacation and back to business. Nice to have people waiting at the door for me to open. Thanks. Well I have some very very sad news to share, I attended a funeral on the 21st for a well respected not to mention full of honor, dedication, laughter, wisdom, and the love for other people to guide on this journey of life. Hereditary Chief Edward Cyril Livingston, better known as Ed. From The People Of The Lake, (Lake Cowichan Band). It has come as a shock to us all. When he would walk in the door i would say, Mr Livingston I presume and he would answer John my good man how are you today. Damm i'm going to miss hearing that. I put in alot of hours of pool with Ed like his wife Georgina said to me he spent so much time at James st billiards he should be part owner. And she is wright. Table #6 is Ed's table and always will be. Well Today will be the hardest to get through but there is all kinds of support here thanks to all. Please come have some fun soon. Eds laughter will always fill this room. Rest in peace Ed. born sept 3 1949-May17th 2016.

Two more sleeps till I can enjoy an 8 day break. Golfing Sailing drinking and eating good is the plan. Not necessarily in that order. Just a Heads up. I will be taking my Holiday as of May 16th to the 23rd, so I will be Closed for 6 business days so I can regroup after another busy and amazing winter. Thanks to all the support form all ages to keep us here 7yrs and going strong. I will be refreshed and well rested up to serve you's better then any other experience you will have in this great place we call home (Duncan). Summer league starts June 16th so come sign up on a team for Thurs night in-house fun. New menu items include the best Poutine around as well as Coney Island Chili Sauce witch compliments a Hot Dog or some chili cheese fries, Ummmmm Sounds good eh, well I've been told everything on my menu is fantastic. So come try for yourself. I take pride in the service as well as cooking every meal to perfection. Well another Great Thursday Night In House League has come to an end, and I would like to thank everyone who was involved and all the spares that filled in on the teams that were sort a player. S ign up now for a summer 10 week league In house, starts June 16th and runs to August 18th. First six teams with 5 players per team. And a huge thanks to Shelby and Jessy for providing the best service and always with a smile, could not do this without you ladies. Looking forward to September Winter League registration due by August 18th 2016. Celebrating 7yrs and 2 days since I took over here and made this place some where that all ages could enjoy and spend quality time with friends and family, parents spending time with there children and kids staying in touch with social interaction and good old fashion hands on Fun. Many Many thanks for all the support from everyone that has passed through my doors in the last six years. Cheers and hope to see new and familiar faces for a hole lot of years to come. I have had a greatest challenge of my life not failing at an attempt to be in control of my own destiny and dreams of success. And here I am, but it would not have happened without the help and support of my two sons T.J. and Christopher through the 96hrs a week we were putting in does not leave much time to have a life outside of work. But thanks for sticking it out with me BOYS. As well as all the help from many friends along the way. So Thank You Thank You Thank You for all that believed especially my beloved Mother Barbara, God Rest Her Sole. I would like to thank John Schmidt a World Class Professional Pool Player, for taking the time out of his busy schedule to stop in at James Street Billiards on Thursday March 3rd to play at set of 9-Ball with one of our own local Master Pool Players Mike Harry. I was in Aw the whole time you's were playing and felt honored to have the presence of two guys that have the passion and talent to make it look so easy. Also thanks for taking some extra time for taking pictures with some of my international students and costumers as well as giving a little clinic. If anyone would like to check out utube and see John in action at the US Open 9-Ball Championship as well as the Masters and he also Better knowin as Mr 400 in Striaght pool, i suggest you do. Just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my late mother Barbara. you are dearly missed by your surviving husband Morris that is having a tough time without, but is coping well. Also missed and never forgotten by grandsons T.J. and Christopher and Son John. LOVE FOREVER AND ALWAYS MOM.

Holiday Hours; Closed Christmas Day. Thank You To All The Support from everyone all year long. Its is a great pleasure to me to be able to provide a place where people of all ages and cultures can come and feel at home here and leave satisfied. When I here day in and day out from people as they walk out my door, that they had a great time, the food was great and my Staff is so nice and friendly, and that the place is spotless, I feel that I have accomplished the impossible. Holiday is all over know, why do they go so fast. So here we are Sept 8th already, wow, time flies when your having Fun. Speaking of fun, have you heard that we have a great new professional ping pong table here. It's pretty sweet, So come on in and check it out. By the time your done, your going to go, "What its been how long, 2 hours. Now where did the time go, something like my days off. But I had a lot fun and relaxed at the same time, so it was worth it. But I would like to say, sorry kids to disappoint you's. I realize how excited you's get when your on your way here, to be disappointed when the door is locked. It breaks my heart knowing that i'm letting you down by not being here, but I think you's are mature enough to understand that i will most likely to be here the next time, and that I need some family time to. Well we made it through another successful summer. Thanks again for all the support from everyone who love's this place. I really love to hear when people are satisfied with how much fun they had during there stay here and that the food was great. And most of all are the smiles they have on there face's when saying We'll Be Back For Sure this was great, that to me is all I need to here to make it all worth while. And a Special Thanks to the Clements Center for making James Street Billiards a part of there program, it warms my heart to know that this special place has connected to so many special people young and old, from all walks of life. This last year has been a real challenge, with my Wonder Mother that passed on July 17th 2014 and know caring for my Father that is doing well all do considering what he's been through in this last. But with all the support and understanding from all my friends and family has made much easier to cope with. We are looking forward to another busy winter and looking forward to serving you's with with the highest quality service, food and fun. Can't wait to see back all the familiar faces as well as all the new faces that want to have the most memorable experience of having fun you can't get from a cell phone or x-box. P.S. I would like to Thank my Mom and Dad for making this dream of being a business owner a reality. And a Big Thank you to Everyone that has passed through my doors in the last six years to make it all possible. Working 96 hrs a week has paided off before it beat me down. Dreams do come true but at a price. I have lost out on spending time with my two sons T.J. and Chris which hurts me alot, do to the fact that I never missed anything prior to being my own boss. But thats life at the same token. If it wasn't for T.J. helping out everyday when he got home from school, I would not have made it this far. Thanks Buddy. So.
