I’ve been quiet on social media for a while. I took a break from social media during the Christmas holiday to be present with my family and have had a hard time getting back on it.

I have been a Mombie 🧟‍♀️ lately too (SEND HELP) so naturally I’m a day late with this Father’s Day post (sorry dads).

I just want to give a big should out to all the dads in whatever form that is for you. I am beyond blessed to have the most amazing father and my husband who is an incredible father to our kids and our old dog.

A few weeks ago, I reached out to a dear friend who was having a rough day. She wasn’t just having a rough day, she was dealing with grief after the end of her nursing journey with her child came to a close.

I was suddenly reminded of when my nursing journey with my son ended. For some of us, we are left with post-weaning depression. This is the type of grief and loss that takes over every part of your body and it hits suddenly. As we briefly spoke about it, I felt her pain deep into my core and realized that this is not something women speak about.

Motherhood is a continuous combination of absolute joy and grief all rolled into one.

I just wanted to come on here to let others know that you are not alone. I’m here to be an ear for any of you whether it’s post-weaning depression or anything else.

BUSINESS UPDATE!!!

Happy Thursday everyone. I want to start by saying how grateful I am to each and everyone of you who follows me, comments and likes my posts, and to everyone who has trusted me to capture some cherished memories for you.

As many of you may know, I have been battling a chronic illness for over a year now. This illness has been all consuming, but has also allowed me space to heal deeply from the inside out. While I am not fully recovered physically, I feel as though I am a new person on the inside.

I am still shooting and have been shooting over the last several months, though I have not posted much. The amount of sessions I will be accepting on a monthly basis is changing. If you’d like to book a session with me, please connect with me. I am currently booked through until mid-April.

Backstory for this session is that it was supposed to happen in a completely different location. Some wires got crossed and we ended up starting the session late and in a completely different location 😅 I was pretty happy with the outcome.

Sometimes you know you will have a connection with someone before you even know them. It’s been happening for me a lot more these days and I am grateful. My spiritual journey is a slow one but I feel like I’m heading in the right direction.

Thank you to this goddess for trusting me and allowing me to get creative during this session. I felt like I was with a long time friend.

Spring has sprung! The sun came out yesterday for the afternoon and it felt so magical. I noticed the tree in my yard in early bloom. What a long winter it has been.

Looking forward to shooting in warmer weather.

My tiniest rainbow is 8 weeks old! Howwww does this happen? She is growing like a w**d and I just want time to stand still for just a few minutes so I can enjoy these little souls we created just a little longer.
