40th Day of July 2024
Duncan City Square Stage
Sunday September 1st
3pm -10pm

After having gone from a 16 day to a 31 day festival then to the 39 Days of July way back in 2012, we are asked each year if we are going to make it a longer festival.
Well about 9 years ago we figured we could add a 40th day but not until the Sunday of Labour Day weekend in September, you know, one more chance to have a kick at the can of endless summer concerts.
Usually we pick some of the favourite performers from the 39 Days of July and a special guest to end it all off
And we hold it in City Square to make it easier on all the crew

3pm Don Wilke - local singer / songwriter with intent to entertain- a slack key enthusiast, national steel guitar player and bluesy kinda guy

3:40pm Lindsey and Leo Martel - young lad (11 years old) and his dad rock it out, both are excellent musicians

4:10pm The Ranters - local folk duo with an auto harp / mandolin / guitar and harmonies and a wonderful repertoire of folk covers and the occasional original

4:45pm Dogwood Bloom – Ashley Sykes and Shane Philip, singer/songwriters from up island that are on an a short island tour

5:25pm Hill 60- local 5 piece acoustic folksy country/new grass feel

6:05pm Dennis Atkins – singer/songwriter of roots country / Canadiana folk

6:45pm Neavv - singer/songwriter/producer from Gabriola - classically trained, pop took over and the results are awesome - an edge to her music that cuts to the bone - and that voice!!!

7:30pm Apex Breaks –8 piece band, the mighty maestros of mischief, they call it psychedelic jungle funk - so danceable

8:45pm Funky Lowdown – always great players with this long time favourite of our city square’s musical series - lowdown and funky it is
