National Philanthropy Day celebrates giving of all kinds—donations, volunteering, and charitable engagement. It celebrates charitable accomplishments and encourages all of us to strengthen and support our communities—around the corner or across the globe. This is a time to celebrate giving.

Today is the day, our Trees of Hope 2024 campaign kicks off! We are so grateful for how our community comes together to support this event each year, and we are so excited to see what this Christmas season brings.

From November 1st - December 31st, help light up the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation’s Trees of Hope, which will surround the outside of the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital and the town Christmas Tree. The Trees of Hope Campaign is the perfect way to commemorate an event, anniversary, milestone, birthday or memory of a friend or loved one.

We will be hosting the town Christmas tree light up again this year, directly following the Dunnville Christmas parade. The tree is located at the Dunnville Farmers Market and will light up on Saturday December 7th.

✨ $50,000! That’s what we raised in one incredibly memorable evening on October 19th at our Hearts & Heroes Golden Gala, Celebrating 50 Years of DHHF.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this effort!

A special thanks to those who gave so generously during our Fund-A-Need paddle raise, where we had 33 donors donate over $30,000! It was a huge part of the total amount raised at the Gala.

Thank you to the fine folks at Lighthouse RV Resort for donating once again to DHHF. We recently had the pleasure of visiting the park and receiving a cheque for $2,100, raised from bi-weekly 50/50 draws this summer.

We are honoured to have their residents' support, with a total of $12,300 donated to DHHF since 2008. And we love their enthusiasm - they are already gearing up for an even stronger 2025 donation!
