FAQ: “How long can I keep the rental tree?”

We’ve set the timeline at 24 days, mainly for reasons related to the wellbeing of the tree 🌲

If the trees are inside or in a warm setting for more than 24 days, they start to grow out of season. This affects a number of things, number one being the overall health of the tree, which is particularly delicate when they are as young as our trees🌲

Around 40 million Christmas trees are cut every year in North America, of that number between 3 and 6 million are cut from Canadian Christmas tree farms and native pine and fir stands annually. With the Christmas Tree shortages we’ve seen in Canada over the last few years and an increase in tree exporting, we’ve seen prices skyrocket.

After the festivities, dead Christmas trees can be recycled and used for things like animal habitats but, unfortunately, the majority of trees end up in landfills with no continued purpose.

Rental trees offer a solution for both issues: supply and sustainability. Our trees can be used year after year and when they grow too large to be enjoyed as Christmas trees, they will be planted where they can continue to produce oxygen, contribute to the ecosystem and serve as wildlife habitat.

Our evergreens have been growing since 2015, but we all know full-sized trees don’t grow overnight (it actually takes 10 – 12 years to grow a tree).

The height of our trees currently ranges from 3-5 feet from the base of the container to tip of the tree.

They are a great option for smaller spaces, outdoor displays, businesses, and anywhere you want to enjoy the festive aroma of a living tree 🎄

“How do I care for the tree if I want to keep it inside?”


Here are our guidelines:

🌲Choose a location away from any heat sources such as fireplaces or heat registers.

🌲Place the tree and container in/on a waterproof container/surface.

🌲Use only LED lights rated for indoor use.

🌲Do not prune, trim nor feed it any type of fertilizer or plant food.

🌲Water the tree every 4-5 days using 1 tray of ice cubes or 1 cup of water.

🌲Do not use flock, snow sprays or tinsel.
