Sundog Strength & Soul
Weaving strength and soul, breath and movement together. Fitness training and yoga.
It might be cold and snowy out this week, but you can warm up your heart with some puppy yoga for an awesome cause this week!
TJ will be leading yoga for Tuesday and Wednesday evening at Londonderry mall!
Only a few tickets are left so act fast! Link in bio.
Have you been to a class and heard “Take a vinyasa” but weren't sure what to do? Or how to move into chaturanga dandasansa – or what the heck that even means!
Join Janelle for six weeks of exploring the foundations of a vinyasa practice, where you will learn sun salutations (surya namaskar) and poses that combine your breath with movement.
This series is designed for beginners and folks who want to explore a practice that is more dynamic than a gentle hatha class.
Poses will be broken down, use of props will be encouraged and poses will be adapted for all abilities and bodies - and when Janelle says all bodies, she means just that. If getting on and off the floor doesn’t work for you, we have chairs to accommodate. Bigger bodies? As your teacher, she is structuring these classes for you, rather than a one style fits all approach.

Hi Friends,
With the growing concern with Covid-19 I have decided to cancel my upcoming classes. I've given this a lot of thought because I know how important a routine and mental health can be in times like this.
However, my number one priority is what is best for you. I don't want anyone to stress over if they should come to class or what will happen in the up coming weeks.
I was really looking forward to continuing with those whom I've taught, as well as meeting new friends who are starting.
But, this is temporary. Classes will resume when we know more about the spread and health within our communities.
If you would like to stay in the loop of up coming classes, please let me know and I will add you to our mailing list or watch for updates on our page.
Many virtual hugs!
xoxo Janelle
"It is to enter rest and digest mode, which relies on our vagus nerve, parasympathetic nervous system, or more simply “our ability to relax.”
Unfortunately, this is something that evolution has not taught us...
Restorative Yoga, for those who haven’t heard of it, is a practice where we use bolsters, blankets, pillows, straps, and blocks to support our bodies in various different shapes. By staying in these shapes for longer periods of time, we can focus on our breath and activate our parasympathetic nervous system."

Hi. I’m TJ (They/Them or He/Him) you might also follow me on Instagram at . I describe myself as a dorky, shy introvert so talking about myself is one of those things that always feels like a stretch. But here we go...
Hobbies:
I really love art. I like to fool around with sketching, painting, printmaking. Putting feelings on paper basically. I also enjoy getting busy with graphic design, our logo was a fun project since I got to collaborate with .janelle.snow.
Nerding out with research and reading different books on training and body mechanics is another thing I love to do.
I love a good sci-fi book or show (HMU with your recommendations btw). I love the sun, in the summer you’ll find me outside as much as I can be. I’m hoping to do some outdoor fitness classes this summer so I’ll keep y’all updated!
Physical fitness has always been something that has helped me cope and move through some difficult times in my life. For me it is a tool that helps me immensely with my mental health.
I was lucky to have a number of people help and train me throughout the years. It can be hard to know how to get started, to find a welcoming, safe space, and to be able to afford training. That’s why I got certified as a trainer. I want to pass on the help that I got along the way. 🙂
Plus, I learn from everyone I train, and I have made some amazing friendships! ❤️🙏
"My whole life I heard, “Don’t wear two-piece bathing suits, don’t wear white, don’t wear color, don’t wear crop tops,” so we made it a point to have our heroine wear every single thing we were told we couldn’t wear because of our size. We want to change that narrative for the next generation of children."
