Hi my name is Tim Hunter former NHL Player, assistant coach, WHL coach and Coach at Hockey Canada. I started making lights as a hobby and have always been a antique collector, so to stay busy I have now started Tim’s Lighting. I repurpose antiques or fun vintage items turning them into lights or custom built lights. I also refurbish and modernize old lights or repurpose them.

Harley Davidson SFPD Shovel Head Gas Tank Table Lamp, great piece of Harley history turned into a piece of art. All Stainless Steel fittings repurposed from 15 wing in MJ, along with a few galvanized fittings, stainless parts all cleaned and polished. New twisted red wire and vintage plug, new black sockets and new LED bulbs. This has been a fun piece for the Harley and Vintage Harley enthusiasts. I will add a gas cap just waiting in delivery.$525

Vintage metal film reel, 13 inches in diameter, with new vintage rotary switch socket, new black vintage twisted wire, vintage bulb included plus a new canopy with lots of wire to hang from your desired length. Great light for a theatre room, man cave or a fun light to have for the reflection off the ceiling. $149

Finished Harley Davidson 1991 EVO Soft Tail Fatboy gas tank table lamp. Built with repurposed stainless steel pipe and fittings, cleaned and polished adding in a couple galvanized fittings as well. Two new sockets and new black twisted vintage wire and plug, along with two vintage look LED bulbs, 27 inches high and 19 inches wide. $525

I did some more work on the two Harley Gas Tank Lights. Cleaning, buffing, polishing and wiring will be next the mock ups are ready. What do you think?

Here is one of my newest projects I have been working on and wanted to share with you all and along with my FB page enjoy. https://m.facebook.com/timslighting/ 1940’s Eugene Art Deco Hair Dryer from a salon, wonderful chrome piece 5’6” high 25 inch base adjustable and all new socket, twisted black wire and vintage plug. This is a unique and rare find in this condition, it has been cleaned and high polished to bring back that high polished chrome to really shine. $599

Yesterday I got out my 1941 Sun-Kraft cold quartz ultraviolet light therapy unit and today it is a night light for a night stand. Buffing and polishing the chrome and stainless adding some fun red twisted vintage looking wire, new toggle switch, new chrome socket and a cool LED bulb. This was quite a invention in its time and my 3rd turned into a light, I hope you like it. Use for a desk lamp, night light by your bed, fun light in a family room or man cave. $249

Two lights to be finished tomorrow wait to see what they turn out to be, 1950’s John Deere Grain Moisture Meter and Sun Kraft Sun Lamp, fun repurposed oldies.

Today I finished a table lamp, made from a 1940’s John Deere Tractor Headlight, cleaning, re-wiring, and clear coating. New socket with LED bulb, twisted black wire and new vintage plug, mounted on a piece of barn board from the building the light was found in. Custom project for the Calgary Stampede Board for the The Big Four Roadhouse some cool lights for some columns in the building. 4 lights with pulleys on old barn wood braces with cool vintage helophane glass shades, as well as 2 repurposed Vintage Copper GE space heaters with custom boxes. Very nice stuff and timeless

Here is another cool custom job I did for the Source Skateboard and Snowboard Shop on 11 Ave in Calgary . Two of their signature snow boards lit up over their cash stations using vintage flashlights and led bulbs. Such cool people and a fun job, this was
2013 and they are still providing light and a cool image

Great custom job I did for a client and interior designer, light over a bar in a cool man cave and a light over a banqet as well. Lots of fun doing these and they get the creative juices flowing. Bar light is a cooper pipe and copper wire, old pulley and some aged light cages, lots of great patina created and a fun functional light. The banqet light I used two flood lights off a fishing boat very cool colours and glass in these old flood lights. All new wiring sockets and new swivel canopy was used for both lights. I know some people are going to question why I did a light for a Oiler fan, I will tell you yes it was a tough decision but he paid well, lol

2 Vintage Beacon Short Globe Lanterns lots of rust and patina, mounted on old barn board planks and hung on rusty hooks, new light sockets, black twisted cord and vintage black plugs, these can be hard wired into a wall outlet or plugged in as the are now. $399 for this pair

Wall sconces just finished, featuring 2 antique Levels, 1 is a Henry Disston and Sons and the other is a Stratton Brothers, with vintage pulleys, new vintage 2 way rotary sockets and glass shades. These can be hard wired into the wall outlet or used with the new black twisted cords to plug into the wall. $499 for the pair.
