We've been bombarded with spam and with supposed e-commerce marketing "experts" wanting our attention, legitimate customer messages sometimes get lost in all the debris. I have been tryint report most of them as spam in hopes that some kind of algorithm will kick in and block some of the time-wasters. You customers are the ones we'd like to talk to, not the others. I know we haven't posted here in a while. We've been inundated with spam attempts and have been trying to get them to stop. Internet trolls hit businesses as well as personal accounts and it is such a time waster and takes us away from running our business as well as we'd like to. I’ve been telling myself and everyone that I’m working remotely this week. The truth is that’s we are in Honolulu, HI. I haven’t quite adapted to the 3-hour time difference so my morning run might seem stupid early as I’m out the door before sunrise here but it feels more like a leisurely 9:30AM Mountain time and I’m loving the early AM calm and running through the sunrise. One thing that I’ve noticed is how many local runners and every pre-dawn cyclist is fully equipped with lights. The right light doesn’t have to be big or bulky; it just has to be seen. The perfect piece for me in one that doesn’t bounce, distract or restrict movement. We have so many options, I’m sure one of them will work for you. This is my bike and run favourite.

My husband and I were chatting with another cycling friend who relayed to us what happened with their group when they recently travelled with their bikes. A few of them had AirTags on the bikes, thankfully. Their bikes weren't unloaded from the airplane. They were able to show the airline their AirTag tracker that showed the bikes had arrived. (Apparently, this particular plane had a second luggage compartment that wasn't always used so it wasn't checked on landing.) They had to wait awhile at the airport but at least they weren't left with the airline's original message that they just couldn't find the bikes. I want to share the story of my summer of not riding in hopes that there are lessons we can take away from it. Better yet, is there something we can do to make accidents like mine less likely to happen to you or to me?

I have a story for you! This is one of my x-rays from this past summer. This one was taken June 29, just after the surgery where the external fixation braces were put on.

I just wanted to post a quick update. I was in a bad bike accident and still have at least one surgery to go but I think the worst is over so I should be better able to keep up with everything. We take all the precautions we can but we can't control everything. In this case a dog got a bit too friendly and wanted to jump up and the owner jus let the dog pull away from him without looking up from his phone to see what his dog was excited about. I couldn't ring my bell since I was hitting the brakes as soon as I realized the dog wasn't under control. I will be on the trainer next week,
