3. โ€˜Dietโ€™ Foods: We all (including myself) fall into the hole of clever marketing. Fat-free doesnโ€™t always mean sugar-free and vise versa. Ignore the cute packaging and read the label throughly. โฃ

4. Breakfast cereal: Most breakfast cereals coin the words โ€œhealthy, energy, or nutritiousโ€, however some cereals can have as much as sugar as a Tim Hortonโ€™s donut. โฃ

5. Bread: Many breads, especially white breads, have sugar added to them. Processed, โ€œhealthierโ€ brown alternatives can also be full of hidden sugar and often can worse than white bread. Aim for 4g of sugar in a 100g serving. โฃ

6. Dried fruits & smoothies: While fruit contains the naturally occurring sugar fructose, when fruit is dried, the sugar becomes concentrated and the fiber (which slows digestion) reduced. So, dried fruits can end up being a source of highly concentrated sugar when you start to snack on them. Smoothies can be epitome of healthy living, but they can also be little sugar traps. Fruit smoothies are high in fructose and the fiber gets pulverized, meaning it canโ€™t act as a barrier and slow down absorption. When you buy or make smoothies, opt for the ones with 2/3 vegetables and 1/3 fruits. โฃ

1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, thyme, garlic, salt, and pepper, and whisk. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and allow to marinate for at least 5 minutes or up to 24 hours in the fridge.โฃ
2. Once the chicken has marinated and youโ€™re ready to cook, preheat the oven to 400ยฐF.โฃ
3. Remove the chicken breasts from the bowl and place them on a cutting board. Cut a lengthwise slit into each chicken breast, about 3/4 of the way through the width of the chicken. Making a little flavour pocket. ๐Ÿคคโฃ
4. Once youโ€™ve created your flavour pocket in each chicken breast, stuff each one with several slices of apple and a slice of brie cheese.โฃ
5. In a large oven-safe pan or cast-iron skillet, warm a bit of additional olive oil, then place the stuffed chicken breasts into the pan, and sear them for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.โฃ
6. Once seared on both sides, transfer the pan to the oven for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through or reaches an internal temperature of 165ยฐF. Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and transfer the chicken breasts to a plate to rest for a few minutes.โฃ
