Well hello my friends!!! My name is Kristy Wiebe and I'm thrilled to be your Yoga teacher and guide in the YogaZone!
As you can tell by this photo, I like to have fun (professional photos will follow....eventually, lol). As a Yoga student myself, I've found ways to invite play into my practice to help myself ease into the moments that feel uncomfortable (especially during pigeon, am I right?!?)
I took my 200hr teacher training back in 2013, along with other trainings along the way. I went full steam ahead in the last 5 years which lead me to opening my first studio in May of 2022. Due to a high speed collision on Sept 9, 2022 my life completely turned right side up, rerouting me to.....YOGAZONE.
I love holding space for students as I watch them overcome their secret battles and wars. I'm not here to judge you about how far you can go in a pose, how flexible you are, how long you've been practicing....its the quality of your journey.
Yoga is for everyone - sure flexibility is one of the many benefits, but that's not the TRUE essence of Yoga. It is a lifestyle, it is a choice to show up for yourself and step away from all the noise outside of you and see what's going on inside.
It is learning to love yourself unconditionally during the storms and even on the mat when you're falling out of a pose.
