What a week at the Sylvan Lake Volleyball Camp! 🏐🌞 Amazing to see athletes grow and bond in the great outdoors. Here's to a summer filled with memories and skills gained!

We're excited to support the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta 50/50, running during the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games! All funds raised will support provincial athletes and coaches in Alberta. The Games start on Friday, but you can buy your tickets now! The last two jackpot combined for over $1 million. We are filled with great sadness to learn about the passing of Harold Mori. He contributed over forty years to the sport of volleyball in many capacities but will be recognized most for his role as a referee.

Harold attained his national level badge, refereed all over the world, and spent countless hours training, mentoring, and supporting referees in our community. He was inducted into the 2012 Volleyball Alberta Hall of Fame but will be remembered most as a kind and influential teacher alongside his positive and uplifting spirit.

We share our heartfelt condolences to Harold’s family, friends, and colleagues – our community will miss him deeply.

Come cheer on Team Alberta as they compete in the 2024 Canada Cup in Calgary this week!

Tournament passes, day passes, and Will Call pickup, will be available onsite at 7 Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre.

Courts will be live-streamed on Volleyball Canada's YouTube page.

Canada Cup will be using ISET Sports for reporting all results. Live scoring will be used throughout the event. Matches are played in Alberta. Mountain Times are listed in the post image.

Team Alberta is underway and we are proud to announce this year's Team AB Competition Teams that will be competing in the Volleyball Canada, Canada Cup, in the Tsuut’ina Nation, just outside of Calgary, July 24-28, 2024 at the 7 Chiefs Sportsplex & Chief Jim Starlight Centre.

Big shout out to all the athletes, coaches and administrators that participated in the training centre last week and worked hard every day to make it one of the best weeks of high-performance training! 💪🏐 Congratulations, thank you & we can't wait to cheer on Team AB as they represent our province on the national stage!

A special shout-out goes out to everyone who registered for our added tournament in Calgary this weekend. We added a second location to allow teams on the waitlist for Sylvan Lake to still have a chance to play. Please note that the added tournament for 14UG, 14UB and 15UB is in *Calgary*, on Sunday July 7th, at the CBVA courts in Valleyview Park.

We are thrilled to have the following athletes and coaches in our 2024 Team Alberta Beach Program! Athletes will attend Training Camp #1 (July 29 – August 2) , and participate in Youth Beach Provincials (August 3 – 4). The teams will then travel for Training Camp #2 (August 12 – 15 in Toronto), and compete in Volleyball Canada Youth Beach Nationals (August 16 – 18). Thank you to all the athletes who participated in the June selection camps! And congratulations to the selected athletes (see post image). We can't wait to cheer on our Team AB teams!
